We have won a trip to anywhere on The pacific Coast.. I know we want to visit California, but need help on picking a Place ...

I'd have a hard time picking ONE place. But if I had to try I'd probably say the LA area - we did that, did Disney, then rented a car and drove to San Diego for a couple days - did the zoo there as well as Balboa Park. That all said, I love San Francisco area as well so...if you don't want to throw in Disney i'd vote for San Francisco!

I think Big Sur and Monterey are lovely. Also Santa Barbara is a nice location.

I love the Carmel, Monterey, Big Sur area.

Another suggestion is Napa/Sonoma

There is just too many great places to choose from in CA!

Does it actually have to be "on the coast"? Do you want something different from things you can see easily from home (cities, historical areas, beaches, and WDW)? How much time do you have and how much driving will you want to do? What about CA interests you -- it's huge and diverse. Oregon's coast is actually more interesting, and the Olympic National Park and Seattle area is wonderful.

I'd suggest seeing some of the natural wonders out there (which does include the Big Sur area) -- like Yosemite, Death Valley, Lake Tahoe, Redwoods/Sequoias, etc.
