None (well, a little) of this is life threatening, but it's all frustrating, annoying, and frankly, I've had enough. Our 13-year-old car just required $900 worth of repair. The week before that, the dryer had to be fixed. Father-in-law, whom I love dearly, is in the hospital for the second time in two weeks (that's the only potentially life-threatening part, but he's not in any danger right now, thank God). It's nearly 80 in the house -- the a/c isn't working AGAIN -- seems like every year there's something wrong with it, and because of the above expenses, we can't afford to get it fixed yet. And here I sit, completing 125 invitations for the HS drama banquet -- this one is my fault, I always make these over-complicated (but someone else did 50 of them, so that's a bit of good news). And pettiest of all, I finished re-reading my favorite book series, and I miss being in that world like crazy, but I don't want to start it over again, because it was pretty all-consuming for a couple of weeks.

I should finish this by counting my blessings, and they are many, I know, but right now, I don't feel like it. But being an optimistic person, I'm sure I'll get there, probably tomorrow when these danged invites are done and gone.

Thank you for listening. We now return you to your regularly scheduled broadcast.

That sucks, I'm sorry.
The good part about how everything crappy happens at the same time is it all usually goes away at the same time too.

I hate it when things pile up like that.

$900 wouldn't even be enough to cover the cost of new tires on my 25 year old car.

I hope father-in-law's health improves. There is nothing more draining than going back and forth to the hospital, worrying about someone you love.

Here's hoping that this week brings better news than last week!

I am so curious, what series did you read?

Hope everything settles quickly for you, I know when it rains it pours.

Vent away!! I think everyone has "been there", "done that". days where it seems like "murphy's law" is your middle name.
Mine was a few summers ago.
A/C went
every major appliance from washer to microwave broke down
I had to have knee surgery.

chin up, this too will pass.

bleh- I know how you feel - I'm having a similar series of crappy stuff right now. I too like to whine and I just want someone to listen and say "Oh my gosh, that really stinks!" (without trying to show me any bright side - I know there is always a bright side, sometimes I can't take the time to look at it until I am done complaining about the crappy side.) SO - here ya go...

OH MY GOSH, THAT REALLY STINKS!!!!!!

also, I was always taught at times like this to offer it all up as a sacrifice to God for grace in heaven. Somehow, remembering that makes me feel like at least my suffering is not in vain.
