Please explain expire 13 days after first use?

With multi-day hopper passes how do they count 13 days after use for expiration? Do they count the first day you use the ticket or 13 days after the day you use the ticket.

For example, if I used my ticket for the first time on July 22, would the last day I could use this ticket be August 3 (13 days counting July 22) or August 4(13 days after July 22).

They are good 14 days. So you use it one day, and then 13 days after that first day is the last day a ticket can be used = 14 total days.
