Please explain child swap?

I never used this but if you could please explain. Traveling w two kids five and seven along w a baby. How can we use this w fast pass? Thanks

You walk up to the FP line with your child and ask for a Rider Switch/Child Swap ticket.

The first group waits in the standby line. Once they return, up to 3 guests can go into the FP line with Child Swap ticket.

Seriously though...

If you have a child that is unable (height) or unwilling to ride, and the attraction is child swap eligible, you go to the CM, show them your child, you get a pass that allows one of you to go on with the other members of your party and the other stay with the child. When you're done, they go - with I think up to between 2-4 of said other party members while you stay.

All in all, others get to ride twice, you get to ride once.

What if your whole family has a FP for that ride, will they still give you a rider swap. Ex. We have 3 adults, an 8 year old, 6 year old and 2 year old. If all 5 of us have a FP including me, would they give me a rider swap for sitting out with the 2 year old so I can ride with my other children as well once they used their FP?
