I have never been on a cruise but my mother and I want to take dd who will be 7. (DH will not do a cruise)...............what do you do while on board...........are there character meals....what do the kids do?? .............what time of year is the less busy time.............any and all info will be appreciated. We are DVC members but do not know anything about the
Disney cruise....HELP!!
I would suggest ordering the free DVD from the
Disney Cruise Line web site. Sit the whole family down and watch it. It will answer some of your questions, but probably cause you to have more questions. But, it would give you a good idea of what
DCL is like. I'll try to answer some of your questions:
On board, there is a lot to do, or you can choose to do nothing and hang out by one of the pools. There are activities planned through out the day. There are activities for adults only, families, and kids only. The kids club has activities broken down by age groups. There are all sorts of activities, to see an example of what you can do you can check out some sample Navigators at (
http://www.dcltribute.com/navigators/).
On the 7 night cruises there is a character breakfast. Characters make appearence through out the ship and various times. There a photo opps, and autograph sessions.
I believe the slowest times are fall (Sept. - Oct.) and winter (Jan. - Feb.). Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
You can get a lot of information on this site, but I think previewing the DCL DVD will give you some direction as to what you can expect on a DCL cruise.
Good luck,
