We will be in WDW in December from 22-31. ( there are 7 of us. MIL, SIL, DH, DD 15, DD 3, Ds 16, DH and ME!) Well, my SIL's friend is going to Drop in for a few days. SIL will add her to her hotel room but now what do I do about the ressies? Do I call and try to change them? Do I wait until we show up and then add her when we get to the restaurnt and wait ? SIL tells me to do nothing and pretend that the ressies are messed up and that we didnt include DD 3 when we made them because she will be in a high chair. We are all on the dining plan except SIL friend who will be there for 2 days....I am not even sure which 2 yet. I don't feel comfortable saying the ressies got messed up but I dont want to change the dinners etc. Please don's say split up. I wanted this to be a family vacation for the Christmas holidays. I really want everyone together for meals. We are going to split up in the parks. I like SIL friend but I think it is going to really mess things up. Should I call now or wait????? If I call and they cannot change the ressies can I still keep them for the 7 and then try at the restaurants when we arrive??

I had a similar problem.I did call and change some of my ADR's to 5 instead of three but now there might be 1 more.I posted on here whether I should call again and risk losing my times and ressies or not and everyone said that they had shown up with extra people before and had no problem and even come with less and it was still ok.I would just tell them when I got there I had an extra person.I'm sure they will be fine with it but I wuldnt lie to them.

Well since there are 7 of you it won't be much of a problem to go to 8. You will most likely get 2 tables that seat 4 each so it won't be bad. If you were going from 2 to 3 or from 4 to 5 then it might be but not from 7 to 8.

I wouldn't worry about it, your party of 7 will be seated at a table for 8 anyway so 1 more person should not be a problem. If it makes you feel better, why don't you call dining and tell them that you are thinking of adding someone to your reservation but just wanted to make sure it was ok first.

Thank you so much!! I have thought about it and decided to call tomorrow and see if they can add her. The only problem is I am going to add her for the 2 days she thinks she will be there. She will not know definites until the day before. I am figuring as long as it is not Christmas eve or Christmas Day we should be ok. thanks again for all the advice
