but I have a silly question. I am not looking for the negative side of DW but I was wondering whether anyone has ever had anything stolen off a stroller while they had it parked. We left everything (cameras, etc..) on ours last year and had no problems but I was wondering if we were just lucky.

WE had no problems leaving our diaper bag on the strolle all the time. I just used a disposable camera, so that wasn't a temptation to anyone either. I don't know if I'd leave a nice camera out in the open as I have heard a couple of stories of things going missing, but for the most part, it seems like it's safe to leave diaper bags. Honestly, if someone is that desparate for a Pampers, they'd just have to ask. KWIM?

we had a toy Nemo taken from ds, but that's it. I think it may have been a case of mistaken identity. Now I burry any of ds's toys in the basket under the stroller. I just make sure that there is no money or anything truly valuable in the diaper bag.

Is it possible that something will be stolen (if left in a stroller) absolutely. Is it likely probably not.

My best advice don't leave it in a stroller if you want to keep it. I would never leave my camera or other important belongings in a stroller. I am just not that trusting.

we have had no problems. we did see one stroller with a video camera left in it. Ithought that was a little brave of someone, even if it wasnt stolen it could get damaged somehow.

We've had really good luck too. We do take our camera and wallets in with us to attractions, but have on occasion forgotten the camera in the diaper bag. We use a Skip Hop diaper bag that clips onto the stroller and it has a cell phone pouch on the side that is very obviously for a cell phone - thats where we put DS's toy cell phone (the one by Parents brand - it looks pretty real IMHO)...I always expect to see that go missing sometime, but so far it hasn't been swiped. DS really isn't into the phone (he SO knows its a fake) so I admit to using it kind of like a decoy.

Nothing taken from a stroller...but during our trip last month, this was the first time we ever had anything stolen from our pool bag at Blizzard Beach.

We learned our lesson...won't bring a pool bag in anymore.

Nope never had anything stolen. I wouldn't leave a camara though, I usually bring that in with me or its around my neck.:cool1:

I feel stupid telling how often I left everything--wallet, camera, etc--in my stroller. More times than I can count. We had birds poop on our stroller twice, but nothing ever stolen.

We accidentally left our bag (with our camera and wallet and everything in it) in the stroller several times and it was never touched. We did leave our bags of stuff that we bought in there every time and it was always there when we got back. I probably wouldn't do it with something I spent a bunch of $$ on. It was usually just a toy or something that my dd didn't want to part with to have it sent to our resort.

I never even thought of the bird poop though! I hate birds! That would be way worse than having something stolen!!!! :crazy2:

We have never had anything stolen from our stroller - but we NEVER leave anything either. It's never a good idea to leave valuables in a stroller, even though you're at Disney.

If you were at your local mall, would you leave valuable items in your stroller unattended? If not, don't do it at Disney either.

Yes - I was standing beside our stroller and just turned my head for a minute to see something, and when I turned back our Pal Mickey, who was sitting on the top where drinks go, was gone. As far as jackets, etc, we've left them in the stroller basket and never had any problems. The Pal Mickey had just come out, so it was a very hot item - ours unfortunately became very "hot"!

We had a plush squirt from Finding Nemo stolen when the stroller was parked at Sci Fi. We had to go back to downtown Disney to get another as DS was devastated and MGM did not carry the same one.

Nope, never had anything stolen. We take the valuables along with us though.

I do have a friend who traveled with her MIL...her MIL was mortified that they left her dd's sippy cup in the stroller. The MIL was convinced that someone would open it up and poison it... :crazy2:

I guess it's possible, but I just don't think that way...

Nope - Never had an issue either! :goodvibes

But I wouldnt go leaving the Ole' Family Camcorder or New Digital Camera draped over the handles or bags stuffed full of new goodies left out in plain clear sight either ........

On New Year's Eve I had my son's Pal Mickey mysteriously disappear from our stroller. It was our fault for leaving it.

We didn't have anything stolen, but we did lost two hats while we were there. One was an adults hat which was turned in to lost and found and the other was my ds's hat which was not turned in to lost and found. Given how cute the hat was, I'm inclined to think someone may have decided just to keep it given how large the parks are and the chances of someone coming back for it. :confused3 What a bummer:( Overall though, nothing was taken. We left our stroller with bags unattended several times. We did take our camera with us everywhere and on every ride though.

Many years ago my cheap umbrella stroller disappeared altogether. But what I figured happened was that someone mistook mine for theirs, cause when I returned to where we had parked it there was an identical one to mine there (cept for the identifying button/balloon I had attached to it). I figured someone in the other party just grabbed the one they thought was thiers absentmindedly. Since it was a cheap one I didn't fret too much over it.

As for strollers with bags and such - most of the stroller parking areas have CMs posted nearby the area which helps to detour theft. However, the CMs really have no way of knowing who matches which stroller etc. Especially when the work rotation comes around and people switch postions. CMs are also not responsible for this aspect of strollers, only that they be parked in the proper area. Leave items at your own risk.

Most "theft" that I have heard about in the parks seems to be directed at WDW itself. Guests taking items from displays etc that are not meant to be souvenirs nor are for sale elsewhere. I have seen items "grow legs" and walk from our area before. (and also be recovered later)

Yesn on out last trip we had one of those light spinners stolen out of the basket.

Pal Mickey. We scattered, and everyone thought someone else had him. It only took about 5 minutes.
