We'll be at AKL for 4 nights. My BIL wants to come up on the last 3 nights and stay with us. So we'll have 3 adults and 2 kids.

Now my questions is this: I know we'll have to pay the $25 extra per adult, but if we get a roll-away bed, will we have to pay extra for that too on top of the $25 extra for him?

Unless you have booked a deluxe room that sleeps 5, occupany is 4 unless one member is under 3. Disney will not provide a roll away at AKL.

From my understanding, they do not offer rollaway beds at the AKL. I believe that the room capacity of most rooms is four plus a child under three in a portacrib. Deluxe rooms may sleep five, but I'm not positive about that.

There are rooms available at the AKL that do sleep five, but the standard room is not one of them.

Fire codes have much to do with the regulations on the amount of guests allowed per room.

So, if you do try to sleep the extra adult in the room, I'd tell him to bring a sleeping bag and a pillow!;)

They don't have roll aways because there is no room for them. Even w/a sleeping bag, I think it is going to be very tight.

We love the AKL, but the rooms are pretty small (I believe they are the second smallest [after WL] deluxe resort rooms).

No roll-beds available, unless you book a deluxe room. There are only four to a room. Even if there were less then four there is some kind of rule that does not allow cots.

You could change rooms when he arrives. There are deluxe rooms that sleep five, they have a king, bunkbeds and a full size daybed.

If they have two double beds, why don't you have your BIL sleep on one with one of the kids, and put the other kid on the floor with a sleeping bag. I know my kids always think it's an adventure to sleep on the floor (go figure! Young backs!) Guess they think it feels like camping.

Like others have mentioned you can not get a roll away at AKL. If you have a deluxe room call CRO and have them note that you will have an extra adult for part of your stay. Some rooms have 2 queen and a daybed or 1 queen, bunks and a daybed and this is the configuration you need. They will need to assign you this type of room ahead of time or it may not be available.

Depending on the room category you have booked you may have to upgrade. Unless one of the children is under 3 and they will provide a portacrib free!

I had three adults at the Beach Club and had to pre-request 2 q and a daybed. My sil only stayed a couple nights, even though I requested the proper bedding for the three adults they only charged me for the nights my sil stayed.

Just a caution (not a flame): my in-laws just got "caught" trying to slip 5 into a room for four (we warned them to just get anothe room) and had to rent a second room. Disney was nice about it but firm. It still was embarassing!

PS I think i'd do as the other poster suggested and just get two rooms at a moderate. OR your BIL could simply rent an inexpensive room at a value resort and visit often!

Thanks for sharing this. Many have tried to imply on these forums that no one ever gets caught and that Disney does not care.

Thanks for the info guys. We called CRO tonite for to see if they have any deluxe rooms, and nothing! No AKL, BWI, BC, YC with the AP rates. The only deluxe room they had at AKL was $365 a night - almost triple what we're paying now.

Back to the drawing board. We'll keep trying CRO, but if they don't have anything, we'll probably book another room at AKL for BIL with AP rate, because we really really wanted to stay at AKL this time. We have our first 2 nights before AKL at BWI, but we couldn't get the last 4 nights or we would've cancelled AKL and just did BWI, cause then one DS could do the daybed.

Anyway, thanks for all the info.:)

Have you thought about renting points for a DVC room?

Just curious...how did they "get caught"?

I think this is the best solution.....and at the AP rates...cheaper than a deluxe room.......cheaper than one room at Poly too I think!
:D
Then think of all the extra room....plus another bathroom......
Good luck!

I have a question. If you book a deluxe room, like at the CR or PR, can you have four adults a child and an infant? That would make six bodies, but one would be an infant. Does anyone know?

What is PR?

I don't think it's worth it to pay the $50/night fee for 2 extra adults. But, yes you can have 4 adults, a child and infant in 1 room at CR.

PR is short for Polynesian right?

We paid for two rooms last year at the Poly, but decided to combine to one room at the CR for this April/May trip. You're right, it could be done at $50 extra a night, but it saves our in-laws $300 a night in the tower. Thank goodness the toilet is separate from the bathroom sink area. I'm bringing ear plugs.
