I also work p/t for a large retailer. Besides the mess some people leave in fitting rooms ( pants inside out and thrown on the floor, garbage, you name it-I've found it ) ,it really bothers me when people get upset when their credit card says " ask for id " in the signature space and I ask to see their id- if you don't want to show an id when you use your credit card, then don't write that on the back of your card

ITA ~ How about the people that don't write anything on their cards?? They never sign their name nor do they write "see ID"....don't they realize that if their wallet was stolen, the thief could just sign their name and when the signature was verified, it would look exactly the same?

I second this one!! And the other quesiton I have is, if you are going to write that in the signature space why on earth didn't you get your license out at the same time as your credit card????? Duh.
