My guess is the servers are being squeezed by Disney. They may wind up getting a gratuity, but based on a flat dollar amount.

The way the servers push guests on the DDP to order as much as possible, I doubt it. We do mostly meals with a fixed price, but the few times we went to a la carte restaurants the servers made sure we ordered everything included on the plan, even speciality drinks we didn't really want.
