DH, DD12, DS9, and myself are taking our 6th trip in 7 years. We are staying at our beloved Poly, dining DELUXE, and we're super stoked about it! :goodvibes We received a pin code, so we're taking advantage of this opportunity. We are going to try all of the signature restaurants we've always wanted to try, but didn't have the TS credits to use. TIA!!

Day 1-(ARRIVAL/MK) Capt Cooke's for quick lunch? California Grill dinner **What time should we schedule this to view MVMCP fireworks?

Day 2- (EPCOT) Kona Cafe 7:30am, Teppan Edo dinner (will cancel this for a CP dinner pkg when avail.)

Day 3- (EPCOT/DtD) Le Cell lunch, T-Rex dinner

Day 4- (AK) Tusker House 10 or 10:30am, Flying Fish dinner

Day 5- (Rest Day) WG Puck’s lunch, Artist Point dinner

Day 6- (MK) Plaza or Be Our Guest lunch, Yachtsman dinner

Day 7- (DHS) 50s PT lunch, Brown Derby (F! dinner pkg)

Day 8- (DEPARTURE) Kona b-fast, Kona lunch

UPDATED POST #8

I don't mean this to sound offensive at all, but it looks like you are going to spend the majority of your trip dining and/or traveling to/from restaurants. We personally love our sit down meals..but find that doing even just 1 per day takes an enormous amount of time and is an incredible amount of food. Honestly...I couldn't imagine doing 2 sit down meals a day. That is a TON of food.

You also look like you're hitting restaurants all over the World..lol. Like Poly for Bfast, Epcot for dinner, etc. I would suggest picking restaurants that are relatively close to one another on a specific day. That would cut down on your travel time a bit.

I would also suggest you do a breakfast and a dinner if possible. Eating lunch then dinner..even a late one seems like a lot of food in a short period of time.

Apart from the suggestions above, the restaurants you picked are all great!!! Just too many :)

Thank you for your input! I am a bit concerned about all the "traveling" b/c we will be using the bus system this time. (Normally we drive to WDW & take our car.) Unfortunately, MVMCP will be cutting into many of our touring days. (We did MNSSHP in 2009 & vowed to never spend $$ on anything like that again!) :headache:

I was originally planning on doing several breakfast/dinner days, but I have SO many lunch/dinner days, don't I?? We just know that we want all these signature dinners. We aren't planning on spending every waking minute in the parks, so we're not fretting about so many ADRs. Most of our days will probably be spent like this: park, lunch, back to resort to rest, dinner, then *maybe* park again. Make any sense?

As far as the abundance of food, we will pace ourselves. We opt for quality/not quantity. We may even share some of the meals. Several of our meals are at Kona, which should be super convenient for the Poly. :yay:

What do you all suggest to cut down on travel time? Or what should I know about using the bus system? (We used it on our first trip in 2006, but not since then.)

I think it looks great and doesn't seem like too much traveling to me. Since your staying at the Poly you're not wasting time traveling to get there. The fireworks are at 9:30pm on party nights. I'd probably try to get an ADR about an hour prior. We have an 8:55pm ADR on a night when Wishes is at 10pm.

I'd switch Artist Point and Yachtsman. It's easier to get to WL from MK than YC.

I think with a dining plan and locations at resorts bus transportation isn't the most convenient. There are no resort to resort buses, so you will need to take a bus to a park then get on another bus to a resort..and do the same going back. If you're going to dine at a park that is easier, but I would consider renting a car or taking a cab to cut down on the total time.

The restaurants you picked are all truly awesome, I just don't think two TS a day will leave you much time for anything but being stuffed full and running from place to place. Just my .02

First, I think your plans are FINE. You guys have been to disney tons of times, and obviously aren't trying to cram commando touring in with a grabillion meals a day. You asked for critiques of your ADRs, not of your choice to use the DxDP. Sometimes, you have to remember that there is a large "anti-DDP" contingent on the boards, and that's ok to not be a fan of the plan for whatever reason. But Disney offers the DxDP for a reason, and obviously, families like yours and mine are the reason. I get you. We're doing a similar vacation, and I think you have a good mix of breakfasts and lunches, then a later dinner, to help spread things out a bit. We are also doing primarily signature dinners...I couldn't imagine (for us) doing 3 TS meals in a day just to maximize the plan. But I think 1TS/2TS is a good compromise, especially since that's what we're doing too!

As far as a suggestion, just to make your touring/traveling a bit less hectic, how about this instead? This is how I'd arrange things (based upon my family), trying to keep our dinners near where we'll be during the day...

Day 3- (EPCOT) Le Cell lunch, Flying Fish Dinner See below.

Day 4- (AK) Tusker House 10 or 10:30am, Yachtsman Dinner AK is a shorter day for us, and Flying Fish and yachtsman are in the same general area. Understanding that you probably don't want 2 steakhouses on the same day, I'd do Yachtsman here rather than Flying Fish--moving FF to the Epcot day. In general, for us, AK is one of our shorter days. We're usually done by about 5...I think this is a great night to travel to one of your must do, but faarther away, ADRs.

Day 5- (Rest Day/DtD) WG Puck’s lunch, T-Rex dinner Here, I'd make it a DTD day...sleep in, grab lunch, shop, explore, people watch, catch a matinee, that way, you're not coming here 2x just for meals, unless you really want to come here 2x, KWIM? I'm betting your DS 9 could kill some time in the lego store...I know that's on my 9 y/os list of "must do's"

Day 6- (MK) Plaza or Be Our Guest lunch, Artist Point dinner

Regardless, you have some great places picked out!

Thank you! I thought Kona Cafe for several meals was an obvious & easy choice. (Plus we LOVE Kona!) So, 8:15-8:20 for California Grill would be a safe bet for us? :flower3:

DONE! Thanks for the advice :thumbsup2

Thanks for this bit of info ;) I never thought about the resort-to-resort bus problem. At least we have 6 mos to figure it out!

THIS!!! This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Have I ever mentioned how much I  the DIS?? :yay: I NEVER thought about the EPCOT resort restaurants for EPCOT days. Duh! :headache: I also switched my DHS day with an EPCOT day, so our last full Disney day we will get to enjoy Le Cellier & Flying Fish & we won't have 2 EPCOT days stacked together. :cool1: My REVISED plans are below....please critique again. :grouphug:

Day 1-(ARRIVAL/MK) Capt Cooke's for quick lunch? California Grill dinner - 8:15pm

Day 2- (EPCOT) Kona Cafe 7:30am, Teppan Edo dinner (will cancel this for a CP dinner pkg when avail.)

No worries....you can only look at your own plans for so long before everything gets goofy! Another pair of eyes never hurts!:thumbsup2 I think your plans look great!

I know! DH can only take "so much" of my switching restaurants, days, parks, & times before he gives me the 'ole "I don't care! Just do whatever!!!" The only change I may make now is possibly switching WG Pucks & T-Rex around. Gonna check out the lunch/dinner menus. :goodvibes
