We are going Jan 1st thru 8th. I am trying to hit all of the highlights, and can't seem to do it. I would appreciate any insight from fellow DIS'ers before i place my ADR's. I have been using historical hours for he shows, and looking at what days Spectromagic may happen. DO my timeframes seem reasonable? Thanks in advance! :wizard:

Arrive Sunday AKL about 12:15. Tour the resort, have a light lunch, Dinner Chef Mickey's 5:30 or 6:00.

Monday MGM day Fantasmic Dinner package dinner 4:30 or so Fantasmic, try to see Osborne Lights

Tuesday: MK noon CRT CS dinner

Wednesday: No plans (DD and SIL want to go to Seaworld with the little one)
Dinner 6 or 6:30 Concourse steak House If out early head to Epcot and watch Illuminations

Thurs AK Day Sunrise Safari DInner WCC about 7:30

Friday MK to finish show missed Dinner CP 5:30 WIshes

Saturday: PSB 10:00 or 10:30 no more plans maybe California Grill (Spectromagic?)

Sunday DTD leave for 6:45 Flight

I cannot figure out how to see Spectromagic for sure. Any suggestions? To complicate matters, mt DS and DDIL may join us but he cannot tell me when during the week...just not Fri, Sat or Sun. They won't be upset if I can't add them to Ressies, but I will be disappointed. I like schedules. DGD is 4 and our trip is planned mostly for her enjoyment

You'll find the time, if memory serves me correctly, they show it twice some nights.

Otherwise, who can critique an itinerary at WDW, you're going to the Happiest Place on Earth, I'm jealous.

I'm jealous also! THe only thing I thought of was about Wednesday. I don't know what type of tickets you're getting-- but if you go to Sea World during the day, it might not be worth it to use day's ticket just for an hour or so to see Illuminations. Don't get me wrong, I love the show, I just don't know if you would want to use up your ticket. I believe the parks close early that time of year. Just something to think about.

I love the idea of just relaxing on your arrival day, and dinner at Chef Mickey's to get in the "mood". Some people rush into the parks on their first day-- but I like to take it easy as well, maybe spend some time in DOwntown Disney.

Whatever your itinerary, you'll have a great time!

We have hoppers for 7 days. We fell into the "It's not that much more" thing so that we could go in and out at will. I was afraid that Seaword added to the rest might be too much for the little one, but my DD said she will play it by ear.

I wish we knew the times for the fireworks show now, as it would be a little easier to plan dinner around them. It seems a shame to miss them.

Why not make reservations for all of you and if they don't show, tell the CM when you check in. That was suggested to me my the CM when I made my ressies at Disneyland. Otherwise sounds good to me.
