Okay, this is for a friend. husband, wife, dd 5, ds2 (al.most 3). they like Star Wars, Disney Jr, princesses.

Rope drop and go straight to sign up for Jedi training.
Star Wars launch area to meet Chewbacca
Great movie Ride
Beauty and Beast (11am) or Disney Jr live (11:10)
Little Mermaid 11:40
Frozen sing along fp+ (12:05-12:20)
Star Tours fp+ (1:15-2:15)
Muppets 3D
2:15 ADR Hollywood Vine
Toy Story Mania fp+ (3:30-4:30)
Beauty Beast or Disney Jr Live (5:00)

they plan to go to MK at night for fireworks.

Seems commando to me but ...they are only doing 2 days of the parks (cringe).

thanks for any feedback.

Is this a 9 am opening day? IF it is, making it to the 11 am BATB show seems to really be pushing it. I've never been to Jedi sign-ups, but I believe I've seen people writing that the wait for sign ups can be lengthy.

Can any one else chime in about the length of time it takes to sign up for Jedi Training? And of course, the actual Jedi thing will have to be worked into the plan depending on what time they get.

My son and hubby got in line around 8:45 or so. There were about 200 people ahead of them. They finished signup and met us at TSMM around 9:30.

One other thing to consider is that you have to arrive about 30 minutes prior to your show time to get dressed, hear instructions and do a mini parade to the staging area so be sure to build that into their plans.

Get there 45 minutes before park opening to wait to sign up for Jedi Training. This will help to ensure that they are toward the front of the sign-up line. Only the daughter would be able to do this; the boy is too young. The villains can be scary, so maybe they should watch a video first, before they waste their time. They will need to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled show. Also, if they are getting there before RD, are they going to make it to 2pm for lunch? I agree that it's very commando, and we tour commando style. I have regretted rushing from show to show at DHS every time I do it. Maybe they should decide what's most important and save some things for a different trip. I wouldn't bother with Jedi Training, unless the girl has her heart set on it, which, being a Star Wars fan, I can completely understand. If they need to cut another attraction, maybe GMR. The kids would probably be bored to death.

It makes a huge difference if they are at the front of rope drop or the back. If they are toward the very front and know where they are going and head right to sign-up it can go very quickly. But if rope drop means just arriving a bit before opening, they will wait and might not get a spot. So wait before? Wait in line? I would choose getting there 45 minutes earlier to save park time.

We always go to TSMM right at opening so that we can get two rides...one first and one with a fast pass. It is worth two rides.

If they love Star Wars they may want to schedule a couple rides of Star Tours as you are likely to get different experiences each time. It has been my experience that there is no significant wait at Star Tours the first hour to hour and a half of park open.

I would not say their plan is too commando. Depends on the crowd. I would skip the Great Movie Ride as it will not appeal to the kids....unless the adults REALLY want to do it.

The Jedi Training show will change their plans...so they may want to talk about which show it would replace on their agenda.
