It's a family cruise! I can believe how many naked butts I saw with floss down the middle on the Dream this week! And they were not young, firm or good looking! :confused3

Dude... I just lost 30lbs (granted I have 20 more to go...). I told everyone in my group: this cruise I'm wearing as little as feasible. And I'm strutting. These people could have had massive weight loss.

I hope you're not planning to cruise the Mediterranean. No floss. No nothing. Very common on beaches around the world, but rare in North America.

Eh, it really doesn't bother me what people wear for swimsuits (butt floss or covered head to toe). It's just another body part, everyone has one and if flaunting it makes them feel good about themselves, who cares? Just explain to your kids what you deem appropriate for YOUR family and enjoy your cruise.

:thumbsup2 You go! I lost 40 lb nearly 5 years ago and wear a bikini, no floss, full cover, but yes it's a bikini. At 45 I'm happy to wear it. I'm sure I'm not as toned as I could be and have had 3 kids but people are more than welcome to turn the other cheek, haha! ;)

If someone feels good in it then I say go for it.

One cruise I was on there was a HAIRY man with a butt floss swimsuit. He always managed to have his butt towards the pool instead of towards the ocean. I never knew so much hair could be on a butt!

No where in anything I have read says that this is a family cruise. Just because it's Disney doesn't mean that we are sailing with people with like minded ideals and values. Even families have differing views on things from one family to the next. I get that it's surprising to see something that you aren't used to or that you don't want to explain or expose the kids to but the sooner we get over the idea that "it's Disney and for the children" the better we'll be.

That said, I will be wearing more on deck or on the beach then a lot of people wear to the dining room! :rotfl2:

Ewwww. I can't say I would enjoy looking at that but if he wants to walk around letting his butt hair wave in the breeze, none of my business. :)

I'm certainly nothing to look at in a swimsuit, but I'm on vacation and I'm going in the pool so look the other way and enjoy your vacation.

:cool2:

Kudos to you both! I've lost 50 pounds over the last year. I'd love to get rid of about 10 more, but am working on toning muscle right now. I am planning on wearing a bikini on our May trip! No floss, but at age 40 and after 2 babies, it'll be the first time in 15 years. :cool1:

See if I were you I'd flaunt it! Show it off!

You made a really good point. I am going on this cruise with my friends. It's going to be a mid 20's-30s cruise. We're Disney dorks and CNAs, who have seen everything in regards to bodies so none of it phases us. :hippie:

IMO, it doesn't matter how much weight someone has lost or how thin/fit they were to begin with, not everyone wants to see that.

I don't care if people wear skimpy swimsuits, but it would be nice if they wore a cover-up in Cabanas. Butt-floss next to the buffet isn't very appetizing.

I guess it depends on your family. A family could be all adults who wear skimpy clothing and wouldn't need to discuss a hairy hiney hanging out on deck other than to laugh and say WTH! We haven't even touched on the amount of inebriated adults you find on deck.
Don't be this guy on your "family" cruise
