Please convince me WDW in June is ok

Not going at all vs. June
I'd take June.
Soon we won't be able to go at all due to our summer schedule, school schedule and sport schedules. Enjoy your June trip :) It's better than not going at all.

The closer to the beginning of June you can go, the better. We went the first week of June a few years ago and had a wonderful time. The crowds weren't too bad and we only had rain the last 2 days of our trip. It was hot but I enjoy the heat so it didn't bother me. We go during Spring Break now because DH hates the heat, but if it were up to me, I'd much rather go in June.

June is usually our month to go - when we get to go. But I would definitely take the advice here to heart. It's pretty hot and can be crowded. The first two weeks of June are the best. We went one year after that and it was far worse in both heat and crowds. Early June though can be really great if it doesn't rain every day. The water parks are always a good bet and remember - early, early, EARLY to the parks. Have fun!

This will be our 4th trip in June. I love this time of year, even the heat!! There's always many ways to stay cool especially in a nice pool!!! :cool1:

We went last year for our honeymoon and it was great except for the Pampered Chef people in the blue shirts that needed to be shot.

I read a reference one other place about the PC people.
I don't know why I find that so amusing. I guess I have pictures of them running off rides with their spatulas. PC spatuals are the bomb by the way.

They jujst thought they owned the park. Everytime I got run over, there was a blue shirt pushing a stroller. Evertime a kid ran into me, he/she was wearing a blue shirt. Everytime we got stuck behind people who did the random stop, they were wearing blue shirts.

Pampered certainly was appropriate. I almost threw some lady itno the river on IASW.

Speaking of rain and cooler weather, it was like that in June of 03 and it didn't bother us. I would buy the more expensive Mickey ponchos though as the 99 cent ones didn't hold up after awhile. We were waiting for Fantasmic! The show went on too :smickey:

One tip: take your camera out of the bag at night and leave in the air conditioning to dry to out. The wet weather did my camera in on that trip.

We will be there in June as well. We were in California last year doing the CA amusement parks and it was hotter than hades the week were were there. We would go through water like crazy and kill for a shop with A/C. But ya know, we did 9am till 9pm every day and had a great time. My kids have no fear of doing WDW in heat and humidity in June. You just have to go at your own pace and never lose your sense of humor!

We're going in June (check in 6/18). Since I grew up in FL I'm pretty used to the summer heat and afternoon showers. I'm definetly planning on EMH, breaks after lunch, and returning in the evenings.

Have a BLAST if you go in June, just know what to expect and it'll be great.

Count me in as another one who thinks WDW in June is just fine! We were there last year--June 14-24, I think. It was hot and humid and sunny (I'm a vampire and avoid the sun like the plague--skin cancer) and crowded and we LOVED it!
You will too--just follow the advice everyone has been giving you.
I'll add a couple--Check the Unofficial Guide for which parks to do which days. We never waited longer than 15-20 minutes for anything. Honest. Like I said, I don't do sun, so waiting in line outside was not an option for us. And we never had to.
--Make ADRs for sit down lunches (around 1 or 2 in the afternoon) if you don't plan to return to your hotel for a cool down in the pool. Those cool, a/c lunches packed with lots of water/iced tea really helped revive us.
We love summer at WDW so much we're going back--this time late July/early August! Gotta give that anti-perspirant a workout! :sunny:
