Per my travel agent..."The only thing they [WLR] won't do is the bunk beds, since that is a separate room category (more expensive) and it wasn't available."

I've been reading posts that seem to indicate that you can request a courtyard view with bunk beds for no extra cost...have I misunderstood? I was hoping to request inner courtyard (North wing) with bunk beds. If anyone has stayed in a room like this, can you please tell me if you had to pay extra?

Thanks!

I am a TA and your TA is right. Bunk beds are now a separate category and can no longer be requested. The price difference is about $25 more a night.

Oh and I took a look at what I thought your dates were (based on your ticker) for you and didn't find anything available either... although who knows how accurate my math was and I don't know the length of your stay lol:lmao:

Skylarr, thanks for confirming that info for me (and how nice of you to actually try checking!).

Well, who knows...maybe they'll upgrade me :) If not, then I'll have to count on the little ones being so pooped at the end of the day that they won't notice that they're kicking each other in the bed all night!

My friend went through this last year. You have to get a woods view to get bunk beds as an option.

I wish all resorts had the option for bunk beds, that would make alot of people happy!

I booked through AAA (next year 9-6-08) and requested bunkbeds, so I'm getting a woodsview room with bunks...at no additional charge, but maybe that's a AAA thing?

I don't think it's a AAA thing as far as the bunkbeds but it could be the AAA discount. I would make sure it is booked correctly. Others have found AAA agents to not always be the most aware as far as Disney resorts and packages. You should make sure the bunks were actually reserved and not just requested. Good luck.

Here are the room types for anyone that is interested:

Standard View (4)
Woods View (4)
Woods View Bunk Bed (4)
Courtyard View (4)
Courtyard View Bunk Bed (4)
Club Concierge: Standard (4)
Club Concierge: Honeymoon (2)
Deluxe Room (6)
VP Suite (4)
Presidential Suite (4)

Bunk Beds are available at Wilderness Lodge with either a Wood or Courtyard views for an addition charge, they are a bookable item.

WL had so many request for the bunk beds that they weren't able to meet all the request. This lead to guest that would be very upset.:confused3 when they didn't receive their request. So as of January 1, 2007 they changed from just a request to a bookable room class.

When we went we were booked in a woods view room with 2 queens, upon checkin my dh said to the cm that the kids were going to be so disappointed that we didn't get a room with bunk beds, we were upgraded to a courtyard view room with bunk beds. I know this rarely happens, but, it was sure nice! Room 5062. Great room!
