Hi all,

I'm hoping some people who have recently been to Goofy's Kitchen can confirm something I read on a previous thread here. Someone said that starting late last year there was a change where the only characters you'll see at Goofy's Kitchen are Goofy (obviously, at the entrance), Minnie, Pluto, Chip, and Dale.

I have been to Goofy's the last three years and while I think we always saw those characters we also had a few extras (Jasmine, Bella, Alice and the Mad Hatter, etc.) so this would be a big disappointment if true.

If you have been to Goofy's this year I'd love to know what characters you saw. I'm also curious if this just might be a seasonal thing? I'll be there in early June.

It wouldn't be a big deal but my son loves the Surf's Up character meal and I know we will see Minnie and Pluto there as well (at least we always have in the past) - it seems too bad to double up so many characters when there are so many to choose from!

Thanks in advance. The funny thing is that even if this change is true I think my kids won't care because they love the Goofy's buffet - their Mom just overthinks things and like to see the characters herself :)

Change was definitely in effect by the time we went in December. No more random surprise characters at Goofy's Kitchen. :(

Oh no! So there are only 4 wandering characters at Goofy's? Guess I'll need to look into Minnie and friend. I just read that they have 7-12 characters.

If you want character quantity and variety, Goofy's is no longer your place. :(

Minnie's has a nice random assortment of characters. We've been twice and saw Daisy last time, who can be very hard to find. The first year we saw the Fairy Godmother and even Pip the Penguin from Marry Poppins. I haven't been to Goofy's before. I've heard they have good food, but the dinner is pretty expensive. We're trying out Storyteller's this year for some more unique characters.

Yes, for some odd reason, they duplicate a lot of the characters with the Character Meals. Minnie is at three, Chip & Dale are at three, and Pluto is at two of the five options. This, and the limited number of characters at each meal (except Minnie's), may be why there seem to be more open tables at the meals now. In my opinion, Disney would do better and sell more of the character meals, if they changed up the character rotation more.

We were there on April 26. It was only Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Chip and Dale. When you first come in and take your photo against their backdrop we had only Pluto there. Goofy did the even come to our table. Luckily as we were leaving we caught him in front of the back drop otherwise we wouldn't have seen him at all. We were there about an hour and 15 and saw all the others. We did it back in 2012 when they had more characters and I definitely liked it better then.
