It really seems like a silly question but if I wanted to eat at one of the restaurants in the park but didn't go to that park that day, do not have park hoppers, would that require using another day admission? Example of what I mean-we have ADR's at CRT on one of the days of our vacation and plan on spending that day at MK, but a friend of mine wants me to change my reservation and to go to Akershus that day. So would we need park admission to Epcot, or have park hopper passes in order to get in to Epcot? Or would they let us in to Epcot by showing the reservation confirmation number?

without park hoppers you will not be able to go into another park...you cannot use another days admission to get into Ep if you are in MK that day...and You have to have park admission to get into the restaurant if its at a park.

You must have a valid entry for the park you intend to dine in a restaurant at.

Yup, you'd have to use up a park admission to eat at a restaurant in a park that you didn't already visit that day. They tell you that on the phone when you make your dining reservations. If you had park hoppers then you could do like you want....spend the day at MK and then head over to Epcot for Akershus. :goodvibes

I had to read your original post a few times to understand what you were asking. It sounded like you felt that you could only go to certain parks on certain days.

The base ticket allows you to enter any of the parks, but you're not allowed to exit and re-enter any other park than the park you chose for that day only.

As the others stated, you'd need park hopper options added to your base ticket (if not already included) in order to enter one park and switch to another park later on the same day.

You cannot use two days' admission by entering the Magic Kingdom and then Epcot. That's what the park hopper option is for.

BriarRosie is correct. Without park hoppers you would not be allowed to enter both Epcot and MK on the same day. When you make your ADRs, they will tell you park admission is required to dine in a particular park. You also will not be able to just use another day off your base ticket either to go to a second park. After five days, it costs only like $3.00 to add another day to your ticket, but it costs about $50.00 for a hopper ticket. No way is Disney going to allow you to pay only $3.00 to use another day off a base ticket, when they can get $50.00 to make you pay for the hopping option. If you want to go to two different parks in the same day you must pay for the hopper option. If you have already entered Epcot on your base ticket, then try to enter MK (planning on just using another days option) the turnstyle will not let you. It will tell the CM on the other side, that you have already used the ticket that day for another park and access will be denied.

Or would they let us in to Epcot by showing the reservation confirmation number?

Think if Disney allowed this. You may be honest but not everyone else is. What would keep someone from making early morning ADRs at a park for every morning of their vacation, showing the confirmation number at the front gate, then after their meal instead of leaving, they could spend the whole day in the parks and never have to buy a park ticket.

A base ticket is one major (theme) park per day. You are allowed to re-enter the same park if you leave it on one day, but it can only be used at the one park.

Note that the ticket will state on it either "Not Valid For Park Hopping" or "One Theme Park Per Day". That should be a hint.

If you put the ticket in the turnstile of another park the display on the Guest side of the turnstile will be "ACCESS DENIED". The top line of the display on the Greeter side will give information about the ticket, and the second line of the display will say "CROSSOVER NOT PERMITTED". The turnstile will not unlock.

This is because Disney charges $3.00 per day over four days on an adult ticket, but charges $50 to allow hopping. It does not make economic sense for Disney to allow this.

If you actually have multiple tickets (more than one physical ticket per person) as opposed to multiple day tickets, you can use these tickets for multiple entries. But it makes absolutely no economic sense as a separate ticket costs a lot more than adding hopping to a ticket.

Thanks everyone - everything you all have said is what I thought was correct...my friend seems to think that we could show the reservationnumber to get in and i was thinking "yeah I'm sure that would go over well" LOL

Hope you can convince your friend not to attempt it anyway. It would only make you all frustrated beyond belief. And thousands of miles away, we'd all be thinking, "I told you so!"
