Please clarify booking ADRs for a split stay?

when I booked a split stay in 2015, I was able to book ADRs for all eight nights of our trip (split stay 4 nights each hotel) when my 180 day window opened. Injust booked a split stay for 2017, and the cm on the phone said I could book ADRs for the whole trip when my window opens. I am reading conflicting things online that now I would have to make two separate sets of dining reservations when the 180 window opens up for each reservation? This this true? That definitely penalizes those doing split stays. It is the "Disney world resort", all under the same reservation system, so people should be able to book for their entire trip (up to ten days) just like any other guest staying at the Disney world resort. The would put me at a disadvantage for getting the reservations I'd like for the second half only my trip. Can someone please confirm this for me or direct me in where to find an official policy on this? Thanks. Making me rethink our split stay.....

Yes, it is true. Two separate stays, two separate 180 + length of stays.

Correct. "Split Stay" is an internet term and not one that Disney recognizes. You have 2 resort reservations.
You are NOT being penalized. You have the same advantage that every Disney resort guest has.
You can book your ADR's 180+ Length of Stay up to 10 days per stay, in advance for every Resort stay.
You have 2 distinct resort stays, thus you have 2 booking windows.
If this doesn't work for you, I agree, I would rethink the split stay decision.
