Okay - I am now in planning mode and am getting very obsessive about it all. This will be our 3rd trip - DD 6yo - DH - myself.

We are going Oct 24 - 31.

First night - Crystal Palace - Dinner
Breakfast's - Cindy's (if I can get it)
Chef Mickey's

Lunch's - Sci Fi
Le Cellier

Opinions??? How do these sound?? Any other suggestions???

Hi Piglet - I am with you on the planning. I usually have every meal planned and end up having to cancel more than one each trip.

We like Cape May Cafe in Beach Club for character b'fast.
Spoodles and Flying Fish at Boardwalk for dinner.
Beaches & Cream for lunch at Beach Club.
Whispering Canyon at WL for dinner.
Teppanyaki in Japan for lunch or dinner.
Rainforest Cafe at AK for lunch.
Planet Hollywood, Portobello Yacht Club at DTD for dinner or lunch.

I think they sound good, except IMHO, I never cared for Sci Fi. I find the food OK and overpriced. My kids have always preferred the 50s Prime Time or Hollywood & Vine (dinner only now). Maybe you might want to take a look at their menus. Both a favorite on my 9 year old grandson's list. Sorry out there to the Sci Fi lovers, but I've given them many opportunities, but finally stay away from this one now. But as always, this is just my opinion and my taste.

I have a question about Sci Fi - We will probably stick to burgers there - How are they??? Is there anything we should definetely not order???

We have been to 50's Prime Time twice before and we did enjoy it, but my DD is helping me plan and wanted to try somewhere different. Any other MGM suggestions for lunch????

Just my two cents, but how about at least one more adult oriented meal that you and DH can really enjoy. Since you're doing all the character meals, I'm sure your little one wouldn't mind doing a Mom and Dad meal!

Most of the resorts have wonderful restaurants, and almost all have kid's meals:

Jiko - "Ohana - Marrakesh (sp?) in Morocco - something exotic - you deserve it!

My kids LOVED the Sci Fi when they were young. Suprisingly for our upcoming trip they all three voted hands down for Sci-Fi again. They are 23, 21, and 17, but still want to go there. (My husband loves it too!) I don't know if it is the Science Fiction, the Drive In, or the old cars, but the three guys (DH, and DSs) are REALLY into the Sci-Fi.
