I had everything planned then Disney goes and changes prices, times, everything. So now I'm back to stage 1. Our first trip to WDW will be in May and this is what I'm thinking so far:

Arrival Day *Saturday: Magic Kingdom (gotta see the castle) :jumping4:
Mother's Day*Sunday: MGM (Extra Magic Hours at nite)
*Monday: Epcot (Extra Magic Hour in morn)
*Tuesday: Animal Kingdom (Extra Magic Hours at nite)
*Wednesday: Magic Kingdom (Extra Magic Hours at nite)
*Thursday: MGM
Departure Day*Friday: Magic Kingdom (Good-bye Castle!) :guilty:

Do you think we need to add park hoppers, isn't it more trouble to go and come from parks? I was thinking since we'll be there 7 days we might not need to. Tell me what you think.

If you stay in EMH parks all day you are going to run into larger crowds. I would either park hop or not go to the parks tht have EMH that day.

It's important to take breaks during the day so maybe you could start at one park and then after lunch sometime go back to your hotel (are you staying on site?) and then return to a different park in the evening.

Spend a lot of time looking on these boards for different park tips to help you. The more you research and plan the better time you will have. :cool1:

Just don't get things too set in stone. The morning and evening EMH hours aren't set in stone yet. Along the lines of which park for which day. I wouldn't be suprised if we see this mixed up yet again. Don't know when in May you're going but near the early part of the month is Grad nites, along w/ the press events that most likely surround 5/5/05. So, this will throw some wrenches into planning.

As for park hopping, we don't hop too often. For us it's personal though. We pretty much feel like it's just too time consuming to go from one park to another as far as travel time. However, we also don't take mid-day breaks too often. When it's really hot we do, however we tend to travel when the temps are more lower 80's and under so in the really hot weather I may be more prone to going for mid-day breaks meaning I may park hop more. Whew... got all that :D .

You know your touring patterns better than anyone else. We tend to like to hop, so not getting the hopping option is a no brainer for us. We usually do the EMH in the mornings, staying until around noon, get something to eat and go to another park for the rest of the day. We have never found hopping an inconvenience.. in fact quite the contrary... we didn't feel stuck in a park for the day if it was too busy for our tastes.

You know how you want to spend your money, and if paying for a park hopping privelege isn't in your plans, then try it without. That will give you a perspective for your next trip.

We have small children and tend to take a nap and then go visit another park, but as the others said, it's really going to depend on how you want to do it.
