My DD12 is at her first school dance, ever.

She was so excited picking out what to wear and how to do her hair. I am queasy right now and need you all to tell me she will have a great time.

I can feel for you. You'll be OK. Last year was DD's first school dance.
I was so nervous that I sat in the school parking lot for 2 1/2 hours just
in case she had a bad time and wanted to leave. She was one of the last
ones out and still talks about that dance! You and your DD will survive! And she will have a great time!

Who would think I would be a wreck over this? She has a crush on a boy in grade 8. She is in grade 6. They take the bus together and go to horse riding lessons togther.

She has been asking me all week if I thought he would ask her to dance. I really feel sick for her, I am worried she will ask him and he will turn her down... or that even worse he will say yes!!
