Does anyone have a specific date or specific time as to when they are going to release the AP rates for January? I'm planning our trip for then and I'm getting so frustrated because the prices that I see for the resorts are soooo much higher than we payed last year when we used our AP discount. Sigh, any help would be wonderful! i wake up every morning and run to the computer to check the posts as well as mousesaver.com. is it so wrong to want to go to disney on a budget? I just have to have faith that i will be one of the lucky ones to get a rate. Thanks in advance:Pinkbounc ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :bounce:

I am with you for discount rates. I don't care if it is AP or 2004 room only rates, something. Well, actually I don't have an AP but for all of you who do, for the love of Pete.......COME ON.

Do you think with everyone booking for the new PC resort anything will come out at all? Maybe just to fill the other resorts?

There aren't even FL ressie rates listed beyond 2003.

Praying for discounts!
:teeth:

I just looked in my date timer from last year and it seems that I called on December 26th to book...I am on the phone with CR now and she seems to think something will come out at the beg. of December!!!
AP rates should be out very soon according to her!!!!

DisDmbnut........

Are you following me?:hyper:

So, she thought room only rates will be out beg of December? I am holding out on booking. My pro planning dis friend said she waits til a month before it's gooooooooo time and books and always get great rates. She got AKL this yr for 119 and last year for 89. I want some of that action or it's a value resort for us! And with that in mind, hopefully PC if waiting that long there will be availability.

WE HAVE TO STOP MEETING LIKE THIS!!!

I got the WL for 119 last year and the CR the year before for 129..They seem to push AKL last year...they had it for FR for 99 but I really like to take the boat or monorail to MK!

I just booked my room at the WL for the 2nd - 6th ..it is 199 a night, BUT!!! when the FR rates are released, they credit my account with that money and book me for the new rate...I like to do that, so I am assured that they aren't sold out. I did the same thing last year and ended up with a credit when I arrived!

DisDmbnut.......
In your opinion, should I book the room now and then if something better comes up....just cancel it?

I have 61.66/night for pc. They have them for all of the resorts. They told me if and when any other room only codes come out I can apply it to pop century or change to another hotel. But I figured I'd start with value and if a better deal in a deluxe came along I'd risk it. Regardless..you can book room only now at a discounted rate with a AAA card.

katrina........no AAA card for me. they ask for it at checkin? i don't have one. and that savings don't justify buying one if using it at All Stars. we wouldn't use if for anything else outside of WDW. i don't have any family in it either so getting a associate pass isn't an option.

if you know something that i don't please share. thanks!

THe AAA card is only 45..I have one...I could get a rate for you and if it is worth it, order one online...they give it to you right away and you print in on the computer.

I am going online to check AAA now. If it's 45.00...it's worth it. Does it expire annually?

you don't have to cancel your reservation, they will change it to the new rate!

in other discounts beyond just the obvious towing. Discounts to other theme parks, 10% at payless, dining discounts at various restaurants (always ask you never know), hotel discounts, airline and car rental discounts. If you prebuy at your aaa office, discounts for movies, tourist attractions, county fairs, etc. Places that don't give that at the gate, give them if you buy on their website or local office (ie baltimore acquarium saved us $8/pp ahead of time over the gate price. Casual corner 15% and some days its 20% off. The key is ALWAYS ask for a AAA discount. Plus you can get great car insurance, homeowners insurance rates, things like that. I have AAA plus which costs more, but its worth to me for the 100 miles of free towing, free travelers checks, free travel books and various other services. I always get my $72 back every year (yes it expires annually). Ask your company if they offer group discounts for membership, I work for the gov't and my 72 for family rate is vs 88 that we'd pay if I didn't work for them.
As to discounted rates its anywhere from 10 to 20% off at WDW resorts based on value, mod and deluxe and the season you are going in. You don't need a card number to ask, just to book, and sometimes they only need the number to check in if you tell them you'll have it by check in.
