Little history: DH, DD (9 mos) and I went on DCL in March. It was so hard to drive home without stopping at the World but we had to work :sad1: I couldn't wait to get back to WDW, so I talked the grandparents into a mid-May trip, and started planning :cool1: Unfortunately, grandparents have just decided they can't go. But now I am too excited to postpone the trip, so I have decided to take DD on my own (DH can't get off from work). Am I crazy :confused3

Anyway, I am not sure where to stay. Please help my decide :worship:
If money were no object, I would choose CR or WL. However, I assured DH that this would be a quick (3 days), lower budget trip. I am leaning towards ASMu at this point. Offsite or a moderate are also possibilities. Other pertinent info - I'll have a car and would like to spend a lot of time at MK (possibly EPCOT and AK), if DD cooperates.

What would you do?

:thanks:

I'm sorry your trip isn't working out for you. Have you considered changing your dates to a time when DH can get off from work to go with you?

Are you saying that because you would never take an infant to WDW on your own? :rotfl2: Since it won't be possible for him to take much of a vacation for quite some time, I think I'd rather go sooner without him than later with him. He's not that into Disney so he doesn't mind. We live relatively close to Orlando, so whenever he's available, we should be able to go again.

I would go! I think it would bo so much fun and a ton of bonding time with your sweet little one! Enjoy this, they grow up too fast!

I would totally go!

I think my biggest concern would be holding the baby and managing the stroller at the same time. If you could find a discount for a garden room at the CR or maybe even something at Swan/Dolphin where you would have parks that you could walk to or use the monorail (S/D would be a matter of maybe spending the morning at Epcot and taking monorail to MK in the afternoon or something), you wouldn't constantly have to fold up a stroller. I think if I were going to consider a value/moderate, I might go for POFQ since it is so compact. The All Stars are always an option, though. Since you have a car, you may be better off driving to the parks and walking from the car (i.e. no tram if possible). Particularly at the MK, if you can walk from the car to the TTC area and then take a monorail/boat to MK, it may be easier than a bus.

I'd say that if you can manouver all the stuff you need with the baby, you're good to go! Have a fabulous time ... take advantage of those photopass photographers and your daughter will have the best baby album around!

I never was afraid to go anywhere I wanted with my kids when they were young. Have a wonderful time!!!

Thanks for all of your encouragement :goodvibes I still need some help regarding lodging. If can't get a good discount, monorail resorts are probably out. Do you think CBR would be much superior to ASMu? Since I'll have a car, would it be just as easy to stay offsite? I welcome all opinions!

Sorry to be the killjoy, but I wouldn't take a baby that young on my own. I just think it would be a little stressful not having another adult along to help. Don't get me wrong, if you really feel it would be fine, then by all means go. I'm just imagining myself doing that and I wouldn't like it so much.
