Please!!! Advice needed !!!!

Hello to all the wonderful advisors out there! I love all of the information that I have learned from this wonderful website! It really has helped me in the past years to have the most wonderful time of my life on vacation. I'm having an issue for my upcoming December Family Gathering at French Quarter. I am introducing Disney World to my brother's family and in-laws. We are currently booked at FQ from Dec. 15-22. With the possibility of Free Dining to become available, I have been considering going earlier on the 13th. I'm scared to wait to modify my reservations in case there are no rooms available at that time. So, my question is: if I modify my reservations now, if Free Dining doesn't come out for us, can I modify my reservations back to the 15th without a problem? Thanks in advance, any advice would be MUCH appreciated!

As long as there is availability, you can modify your reservation as many times as you like!

Modify your res to include the 13th. You can always scale it back later but you can't always add later.
When I book I usually add a few days on either end of the trip initially until we settle on flights and then I call back and adjust.

Yes, do this! I was in the same situation for Thanksgiving week. Booked with 2 extra days in hopes of getting FD and the plan of taking the two days off the res. if FD didn't happen. It did and I hope it does for you, too!

Can always take days away, but once they are gone, can't add.
