Anyone had lunch or dinner at the Plaza restaurant at MK?

What was it like? Food/service?

I've heard they are doing some renovation to the restaurant. But we love the Plaza Restaurant. They have the greatest sandwiches ever and the ice cream desserts are marvelous. My husband loves the Reuben and I love the Club, but they are both huge. The Plaza Special Dessert had butter pecan ice cream with hot fudge and hot caramel topping. Plus lots of whipped cream. And the brownie sundae is gigantic. We just discovered it about two trips ago and now have to go at least twice on each trip.

we love the plaza!! the tomato bisque is fabulous! we have always had excellent service. the chicken-strawberry salad is great, but it too is huge! enjoy!!

The Plaza is a must-do for us every trip. Only problem is we always order milkshakes and never have room for any of the yummy-sounding sundaes!

Another thumbs up for the Plaza. We've done lunch there 3 times and always have had good service and food. We're usually stuffed when we leave there. Enjoy!

DH and I ate at the Plaze earlier this month...I think we actually ate there the day before they closed for renovations...not sure how long they'll be in rehab. We didn't even know the Plaze existed before hearing about it on the DIS. It's a great place. The sandwiches are really good and huge! Also, it's really nice to sit inside.

Tried the Plaza for the first time this past Jan.

Wished we'd eaten here on our other trips as well!

Yummy food, large portions. We had chicken noodle soup, and split a turkey sandwich.

It's a cute little place too.

We thought it was a very nice change from counter service without going for a big sit down type lunch. The chicken & srtrawberry salad is yummy as are all the desserts.

This is an EXCELLENT place for lunch. We now go every trip. Their sandwiches are fabulous, and I especially like the german potato salad.

We've only eaten here once, but neither my husband nor myself cared for it. Actually I become immediately ill afterwards. I had a cheeseburger - I don't remember what d-r had, I think we've tried to block it from our memory. My hope is that it was one incident as I've seen many good reviews, but it will be a long time if ever before I go back. The service was fine, but nothing special. We had to wait about an hour for a table that night and I remember a funny smell inside the place.

That is too bad. I've never had a burger there, but maybe you might want to try a sandwich. I've had their club and their turkey- they were awesome...on great bread with bacon, lettuce and tomato...YUM. Honestly it is one of our favorites.
