Plaza Restaurant?

Does anyone have any opinions on the Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom for lunch? We are thinking about trying it but haven't heard too much about it.

We enjoyed it more than we expected. It has a limited menu but is a nice place to get away from the crowds for a few minutes. We walked right in without a PS (at about ten til 1, I believe). Make sure you order a milkshake !

The desserts are fantastic, but we felt the regular food was overpriced for the quality/quantity. I would recommend doing a counterserve lunch, then heading over for a mid-afternoon snack. The milkshakes and sundaes are fantastic!

It IS a little hidden!! We've only eaten there once, and I had the reuben and a milkshake, and it wasn't bad...we haven't been back yet though...

A terrific surprise for us. Loved the burgers - they were huge and cooked perfectly. It's sort of a cool place to go, because you're totally in the middle of the action, yet you're not. A great place to cool off, relax and refuel in the MK.

We really liked the Plaza - it is located at the end of Main Street down a little to the right if you are facing the castle. It is a little pricy for sandwiches - they run about $10.00/meal, but they are only a few dollars more than a comprable counter service, so I guess you are partially paying for the sit down meal. Anyway, the food is good and it is a great place to relax and get out of the sun!

Central location out of the hectic pace of other lunch options at the MK. Like all food at MK you pay more than outside WDW, but it follows the premise of location, location, location.

The Plaza Restaurant is described by multiple concierge staff as a CM favorite. Mainly a sandwich shop located adjacent to the ice cream shop on Main Street, so they offer great ice cream treats and if you have kids...well even adults will love the milkshakes which arrive in a glass, accompanied by the stainless steel mixing cup with a little more to enjoy.

We eat lunch here on every trip...sometimes twice.

Oh, Lordie, I am so glad that others have heard of the Plaza. This is the one place I go back to multiple times everytime I'm in MK.

I really enjoy their Reuben and my husband LOVES their ice cream desserts.....we go to the Plaza at LEAST one time every single trip!!

We go here every time we are at WDW. It's become a tradition. Of course, along with the tradition of eating there is the tradition of my son making the spoon stick to his nose! We have some pretty funny pictures taken over the years!

Dh and I love the Plaza. The food is basic but very good. The Ice cream sundaes are the best. We usually will eat here instead of going back to hotel for lunch, it is nice and quiet too.
