...restaurant. Is it because of it's location (kind of off the beaten path)? Or is the food just not that good?

I have been wondering the same thing. We will be at MK tonight starting around 4pm and thought about eating there for dinner. We've been to MK many, many times and DH didn't even know there was a restaurant there.

It's one of our favorite restaurants for a lighter meal. The menu is limited to salads and sandwiches but we have always had good food and great service. I don't think you hear a lot about it because a lot of people don't know about it, it's sort of hidden yet it's not.

Just yesterday, I posted a "Plaza or GF Cafe" thread, and every response was "Plaza!" Look at the menu under "Dining" on this board (I think it is more current than the one on allearsnet.com.) The menu IS quite limited, but I think we'll enjoy it.

I do agree that it must be unknown. Calling yesterday, I was able to get a 1 pm ADR at the Plaza on the day after Thankgiving.

I think people on the DDP don't go to it because it doesn't give them the most bang for the buck.
Why order a $10 burger if you can have a $30 filet?

I ate there. It wasn't the best food nor service, but it's very pretty in there!

Love the plaza. It's a Quaint little place, I wanted to eat there this time but with a large party you can only eat there at a certain time and it didn't work for us. If you can get reservations then I say "Try it!"

We've gone here on our last two trips and really enjoyed it. Its a great lunch spot to not have fast food, but also not to have a huge lunch. They have great sandwiches and a different menu than alot of the other restaurants.

The Plaza has good food although the menu is limited. We enjoy them for a light supper or a lunch that is different from the usual fast food. We've never had an ADR there, just lucked out by walking up.

SHHHhhhh! It's a secret! :rotfl: We're eating at the Plaza TWICE next month!

There's nothing like a good sandwich!

We love this place and eat here each trip. It's quiet and comfortable yet in the middle of everything. And they have crinkle-cut fries! :yay:

The Plaza is great but not for the DDP, definitely pay out of pocket. A meal at the Plaza might run into $20 per person with drinks, main course and dessert but if you go to Le Cellier or Kona Cafe for the same dinner credits you're looking at $40+ a head (more if you are on this year's dining plan with appetizers included!).

Maybe go and pay out of pocket and save the extra TS credit for a 2TS restaurant like the California Grill!

we ate at the plaza for the first time a week ago and were impressed!! the food was good, i absolutely loved the bread the sandwiches were on!! it's never terribly crowded so it's really nice.

The menu is quite limited, but what they do have is excellent. I love the Grilled Reuben as well as the Cheese Steak Sandwich. the fries are great too.

We ate at the Plaza 2 times last summer. It was very good. We were on the DDP. They have huge desserts. They were very good!!

Both DH and I loved it there. Good food, great desserts. Kind of reminds me of MK's version of Beaches and Cream in a way. I think it is a lovely place to go. Many on the DDP won't go for the cost, but since we never do that, it's on our favorite list. We walked up on a whim one day for lunch and were totally impressed!

I was just about to ask how the Reuben was because in the picture it looks ultra-yummo. Can you get it without the Thousand Island dressing or are they pre-made?

I bet you can, I'm pretty sure everything there is made to order.
