I'd like to eat a late dinner with a view of the Electrical Parade ...anyone have a recommendation? We will be there end of March. Dinner for 5, youngest is 10 years old. thanks!
You won't be able to see from either restaurant. It will be crowded that time of year and you will need to find a seat early to be able to view the parade.
Yes, neither I'm afraid. The Tony's patio isn't a bad idea though.
If you timed LTT to finish up right as it was going by, perhaps you could watch from the front porch? The Plaza really wouldn't work at all b/c it empties almost right onto Main St and there will be plenty of people filling up that walkway.
And as PP said, it will be pretty crowded . . . the LTT porch might even be full already.
As others have said you will not be able to see it from either. We have viewed the halloween parade from Tony's patio and it was a nice view but you are not able to see the characters as well as you do from the street.
If you go quite a bit Tony's is a nice spot for viewing, if this is your first trip your kids may enjoy being closer.
If you decide to do Tony's: typically MSEP begins in Frontierland so make your reservations for 1 hr before start time. If for some reason the parade you are viewing begins on Main St. book your reservation for 30min before. You can ask at the podium to wait for a patio table, usually they will allow but during very busy time I have heard them tell people that they were not able to accomodate them.

I believe MSEP usually begins by City Hall. We were there at the beginning of December and watched from the steps of City Hall. The floats came out from backstage next to the Emporium and headed down Main Street towards the castle.
I agree with PP. Neither has a good view.
That said, for March, you may find that no MK restaurants are availble. Folks make ADR's 180 days (6 months) in advance. I know this is a surprise for first timers.
You need to go to the Disney web site ASAP and try for any ADR in the MK for your dates.
Good Luck
