Plaza or Castle for lunch?

We are doing a Family Magic Tour at MK and trying to decide where to dine for lunch afterward. Plaza (where is it on Main street?) or Castle? Will be with 5 newbies.
For anyone who has dined at both for lunch, which do you prefer?

the plaza. it is easier to get PS for here and in comparison the prices are much much better. the plaza is located right off main street to the right. next to the ice cream parlor. as a matter of fact, the ice cream desserts come from there. the portions are large enough to share. you will really enjoy dining here. not much longer now.

Did you check out the menus at wdwig.com ? DH and I enjoyed CRT for lunch, but did recognize that thier lunch menu is rather limited, so I guess it would depend on what kind of eaters are in your group. Hope you have a great trip.

My DD and I had lunch at the Plaza a couple of weeks ago... it was a very nice, relaxing experience with good food and service.

I had the strawberry/chicken salad with a wine dressing and it was outstanding. My DD had a mini hotdogs and fries.. for dessert we had the unicycle sundae.

I have only had breakfast in the Castle so I don't know about lunch there, but I recommend the plaza.

Is lunch part of the tour?

Anyway I agree that it would be a good idea to check out the menus. If both menus appeal then I would pick the castle.

I love lunch at both spots but the castle has so much theming and detail. After a tour about the magic, I think you'll appreciate it all the more.

The plaza is a very pretty spot but is like other well done ice cream shops you can find around the country. Better done than most for sure but not as unique as the castle.

If it was just our family we'd opt for the Plaza, no questions asked. Since you have 5 newbies with you they may like to eat in the Castle. It's ok to do once, which is all we've done in 14 years but the food was nothing to write home about.

Thanks everyone - I'll have a real good look at the menu's and then decide.
smfnj - you have a point about the newbies - maybe I'll just ask SIL if they want to dine at the castle. Otherwise, I think it'll be The Plaza (the strawberry/chicken salad will do it for me - yum!).
BCV23 - no lunch is not included. It is the 2 hour Family Magic Tour and concludes around 12ish.
I'll report on the tour and where we ate when we return

Sorry to all you Cindy's fans, but we found it to be over-rated.

I've heard many good things about the Plaza as a sandwich & dessert place. Good food, large portions and reasonable prices. We've not eaten there yet but hope to this year.

We had lunch at the Castle last year. It may be overrated for breakfast but I believe it's underrated for lunch. We had a PS and got a great table right by the window. The service was first-rate, the food was excellent though not gourmet, and the price was less than you might think! We paid $47 total for a family of 4 since we just had entrees.

We love the Plaza and have lunch there our first day at the MK without fail. Their salads are great and they have a terrific cheesesteak sandwich. We have had good luck with everything on their menu. They have terrific desserts. Also, that is where we were sitting at 11:30 a.m. for an early lunch when CM Bob came in to the restaurant, walked around and then asked if he could sit with us a minute. We gushed on about loving WDW and he invited us to be GRAND MARSHALLS that day's parade. A thrill we will never forget. So look perky while you're eating -- you never know who could be watching.
