How early can you show up from reservation time?

Depends on when you are going.

If the Plaza Inn isn't too busy it probably doesn't matter.
If it's busy maybe 15 to 20 minutes. But it may only add to your overall wait time.
If you are too late you may loose your reservation.

We usually try to check in a few minutes prior to our scheduled time.

They might give you a beeper when you check in. They will notify you with the beeper when your table is ready. This gives you the ability to stroll around a little.
