Plaza inn

I thought breakfast was with characters and lunch and dinner was open. Went today for lunch and told we needed a reservation. I tried asking the lady questions but every answer was that I had to call the dining number. What time does lunch start... Was breakfast running into lunchtime?

What time were you there? It's only the breakfast that has characters and might need a PS. Lunch and dinner you just walk on in.

Or maybe you were at the "happiest birthdays" celebration desk instead of just walking on in?

If I recall.. Plaza Inn starts lunch hours later than other locations. Closer to 1 pm, if you walk up between 11 and 12 to get an early lunch.. they are just finishing breakfast and setting up for the birthday thing.

It was a few minutes after noon. We are from the east coast and had just arrived so we were hungry

During our last trip in mid-August, DBF and I went to Plaza Inn for lunch (had to get their fried chicken!) and they didn't require reservations. They opened at 12pm when we went and we were able to just walk in, no questions asked. I also don't recall them requiring reservations two years ago (the other time I ate there)

When I booked my PS for Minnie's at the Plaza the lady I spoke to at Disney Dining understood me wrong and thought I wanted a reservation for 8 PM and not 8 AM.

She specifically said that I wouldn't need reservations for Plaza Inn until I pointed out I wanted to go to the character breakfast in the morning.
That was early last week.

We went back on wednesday at noon. We had to get in line outside for a few minutes. We are glad we did - thought the food was excellent and pretty inside. I loved their soda machines.

Those soda machines are cool... aren't they? I'm glad you enjoyed your experience at one of my favorite DLR restaurants.
