Plaza Gardens Lunch

Hello. We’ve just booked a two night trip to DLP with Half Board Plus. Unfortunately, our arrival day is January 1, and the only dining option left that day is Plaza Gardens for lunch. Am I right that there are no characters there for lunch, so our plus vouchers will cover it? Is it still a buffet at lunch?

Another, unrelated question, can you make reservations at Rainforest Cafe? My daughter really wants to eat there on the day we leave.
