Playstation xbox and Wii Friendly chat thread

Yea, people also do that with the PS3, but then again, the PS3 bugs me in gameplay. It probably gets easier, but not when you go into Best Buy and play Excite Truck for the first time...

BTW, anyone know how one would go about checking the video card on a computer? I've got Oblivion for the PC and I'm not sure how to check my video card for the suggested requirments. I'm also crossing my fingers thhat this computer reads the game disk, as it has a history of ignoring them.

Man the 360 has enough hardware to go to the internet, but I can't find out how. (I would ask for help but it looks like im the only one who has a 360).:(

Got our Wii in the mail today! Already created "Miis" for everyone in the family.
:cutie: <--- She looks like a strawberry! (Sorry for being offtopic, I couldn't help myself.)

Go to system properties, click hardware, then go to display adapters, click that check the type of video card you have and google it to find its specifications. I think that's what you mean by video card...

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 12, 2007 (AFP) - Xbox 360 bested Wii and PlayStation 3 in US holiday season sales as Microsoft scored what analysts expected to be a lasting victory in the new-generation video game console war.

Sony's prior generation, PlayStation 2, outsold all the freshly launched consoles in a twist that industry insiders saw as a sign that new players were being enticed into the video game world.

Sony sold 1.4 million PlayStation 2 consoles in the United States in December, compared with only 491,000 of the PlayStation 3 (PS3) model, according to figures from market research firm NPD Group.

Meanwhile, buyers snapped up 1.1 million Xbox 360s and 604,000 of the family-oriented Wii consoles made by Nintendo.

"The Xbox 360 is the best-value proposition," Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey told AFP. "The Wii is hard to find and the PS3 is overpriced."

Japan-based electronics firms Nintendo and Sony introduced their new consoles in November, while Microsoft had the Xbox 360 on store shelves a year earlier.

"The Wii was a disappointment," Hickey said. "That was the biggest surprise."

Anybody out there played Oblivion and finished up the arena quests? For those who haven't, you get a nice little annoyance called "The Adoring Fan." He randomly appears behind you spouting "By azura by azura by azura!" followed by something else. Well, this guy's a pain, so check this out and the other ones.

My favorite part is in the bowling vid where the adoring fans sprint off the edge. Llollers.

I hate the adoring fan after you beat the arena. Once I got kinda annoyed so I climed on my "leaning tower of paint brushes" (you must say the name in a dramatic voice). So im on my tower of paint brushes and he is trying to follow me while i'm in the air so I shoot him and he is running all over the place I just sit there lolering. :lmao:

Finding the rest of the heart pieces in TP is getting really boring. Same for the Poe hunt... Blegh. But I need something to occupy me until I can get Warioware: Smooth Moves... xD

if you like zelda and have some wii points i would say probaly you should get alttp its a very fun long and cool game for super nintendo

I don't see how Wii is a dissapointment considering it sold almost half of what the XBox 360 did in a year.

I have enjoyed all my games for the wii, and while the multiplayer in Red Steel is not nearly as diverse as Halo, I found myself having more fun with it.

I don't see why people are calling the Wii a disappointment either, unless they are sad that they didn't try to make it a superpowerful GameCube, like the other two seem to be of their last-gen counterparts. Of course I do know that the PS3 has tilt control and stuff, but gameplay other than that is the same. Of course, I still really want an Xbox 360... Halo 3 is a must.

One friend after playing the Wii went and got one himself. Another got one from his dad after playing. I know another one wants to get one after playing 10 player WarioWare.:rotfl:

I fear the Wii's future. I'll give my reasons why in a bit, but I've been playing a lot of Counter Strike as of late. Gun Game FTW.

The Wii's future worries me. This is assuming that the "new console smell" wares off and sales go down. The Wii just doesn't seem like a stand-alone kind of console. Sure it's innovative, but how long until it gets to the point where it's all of the same? Swing your controller this way, that way, whichever way. The swinging of the controller doesn't seem to allow much else other than "swing it around." Now, to the point. If sales go down, third party support fades. Third party support means less games. And Nintendo seems to prefer handhelds to consoles. So, now you have less games coming out for the console. This is what worries me.

The PS3's launch is laughable. HINDENBURGS3.

And, to avoid starting fights about what is better, I'll just say this. From the looks of things, 360 has a strong chance of pulling out a generation win. Just saying.

I wouldn't say that's why people are calling it a disappointment. For one, HD is not usable on the console, which is a major setback for the console. And saying that "Gameplay is the same" for anything is a lie. Gameplay isn't caused by the console, it's the games. Are you meaning to say "Control"? And I will agree that Halo 3 looks promising, but there are many other really great games for the 360. Dead Rising, Oblivion, Viva Pinata, Crackdown (It's either just coming out today or it's close enough,) and Saints Row, just to name a few.

Halo 2 ended terribly. It's been said before, but I think that just as the game was about to end, the screen should have stopped and that guy from the Dukes of Hazard) should have said "Well, how is the Chief going to get out of this jam?" followed by the "da da danana duu" sound.

Hmm, moving a controller, or pusing a button for the past 10 years. (me personally, the industry has been doing it for 20 years and more):confused3

hmm

moving a contoler all different ways or just pushing 4 buttons which one get to be the most repetitive um i think the buttons
