playsets at Disney

Hello,
My 5 year old dd LOVES the disney playsets. We are going to wdw the first week of Dec and I wanted to get some for her for christmas while I was there. Do they sell them there? If so where? How much do they run? and do they carry them at the outlet stores?
Also someone somewhere mentioned die cast models or toys of the rides. What are they like? Are they something an 8 yr old boy would like?
This is our 1st trip to WDW so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The Once Upon a Toy store would be a good place to look at all the sets available. They have wonderful displays of the monorail sets and ride sets. I think it would be a blast for any kid, especially at that age. I saw things there I hadn't seen many other places, they far and away had the best selection. It is in the Downtown Disney Marketplace area.

I love the die cast vehicles and I think any little boy or girl will too. We saw them at our resort gift shop and virtually all the rides that has a vehicle in the collection had one in their gift shop. Look at ebay for disney die cast and that will show you what they lok like. They have PeterPan, Pooh, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and many many other vehicles with Disney characters in them.

If you are talking about little molded plastic playsets for your DD 5, then I suggest the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. I have a four year old daughter to loves the sets we got there for about $14, I think. They have several to choose from and they each have about 8 characters in them.
Aladdin
Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Peter Pan
Cinderella
etc.
