DH and I are will be taking our 2 year old twins to DL and DCA on July 24th and 25th. And was wondering if you "experts" have ever been to the playhouse disney show at DCA? I'm looking forward to it, because the twins are in love with Mickey right now.

We really enjoy this show. We haven't seen the new version with Mickey, but I imagine its similar in style to the old version and I bet your kiddos will love it. Its a great place to escape the heat too!

We saw the show in April and my 3 year old LOVED it! My 5 year old enjoyed it, too. I highly recommend it for the little ones.

Our kids loved playhouse disney at that age! They put on a really good interactive show for the little ones. I'm sure you and your kids will love it.

I believe Pooh and Darcy are also in the new show with Mickey, Manny and the Einsteins. If your kids love Playhouse Disney, they will love the live show.

Hi! We´ve been to the playhouse disney shows both in DCA and in Disneyworld. My kids loved it and they don´t even speak English!

I´m sorry to let you know that Mickey is not in that show: They have small "segments" of JoJo, Stanley?, Pooh, Bear.... Anyway, the show is great for young children!

That will be great. every time we talk about seeing pooh and Tiggger, my DS4 asks about Darcy. I keep telling him I don't think she'll be there. he will love it.

Mickey is in the NEW show in fact. It showcases Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, My Friends Tigger & Pooh, Little Einsteins, and Handy Manny. I have DS3 and DS2 and both LOVED the show! I would definitely take the twins. I might brush them up on a little Playhouse Disney on tv before heading there just to make sure they are familiar with all the characters (if they don't watch all the shows).

The show is kind-of interactive. The host has the kids yell things out and they shoot bubbles and confetti out during the show. And be prepared to sit on the floor with the kids. There are a few chairs in the back, but the kids sit on the floor up front. So if you want to stay with the kids you have to sit on the floor to make sure they don't run around and stay within the designated areas.

Jernysgirl - loved your pictures. We were to focused on the show to think about taking pix.

Our 2.5 yr old DD loved the show and we enjoyed it as well. Middle section seemed to be the best seats and where to get the most streamers at the end - very important to our DD.

You will have lots of fun.

It's not Darcy it's Darby HEHE. I only know because my 2yo is in love with My Friends Tigger and Pooh. Although she still says "tiggerpooh" lik ethey are one perosn. Anywho, looking forward to the show.

I'm glad someone asked about this. DD saw it when she was 2 and loved it, but ti was still being redone last time we went. She'll have just turned 5 on our next trip and even though she still watches the TV shows, I wasn't sure she'd be that into. Now I know to schedule it in to our DCA day. Thanks!

I took my grandson to it when he was 3 and he LOVED it. You will enjoy it, too. Don't miss it!

Oops! My bad. Actually, my DD outgrew Playhouse Disney before the new Pooh series started. Sorry!

Anyway, DD is now into Disney Channel and is really into Zack & Cody, Hannah Montana and The Jonas Bros.!

We went right when it open. It was good. My son recognized the characters compared to the old show when Bear and the Big Blue House was on. He doesn't know them. Here are some pics. Sorry, they are dark.

Things burst out of the ceiling about 3 times, so be prepared.

Thank you so much for all the input!! I think the twins are going to love it because we watch Playhouse Disney every weekend and we have all the shows pretty much on DVD or DVR!

By the way, my 2 year olds love Hannah can you believe? They sing and dance to all her music. I have to admit I really like her show and music. I guess there are worse things out there!!
