HI! We have tickets for Playhouse Disney Live and was wondering what to expect. The last time we saw a Disney show, Mickey et al were REAL (moving mouths). Are they "real" for this show (want to be prepared with an explanation just in case). Anything else I should expect?

Thanks!!!!!

We just went last weekend. Mickey is there with Goofy, Donald and Minnie. No Pluto or Daisy. I had to come up with a quick explanation for DS(4) as to why they weren't there. I said they had to stay at WDW to meet with the kids. The Mickey Clubhouse characters were all costumed like at the park. They did blink their eyes and the mouths opened and closed. The Pooh characters that were there were Pooh, and Tigger(costumed like at the park) and Darby was a person. The Little Einsteins were real people too. DH and I were not expecting that and were:lmao: when we first saw them. The rocket ship was there and they did a great job with it. Oh, Handy Manny was a real person and so was Mr. Lopart. The tools were in a big toolbox that Manny carried then placed on a bench. It was a really cute show and they had an intermission. They had a lot of really cute merchandise and we spent over $100 in there! We had floor seats, row 9 and DS was able to get up and dance by the stage and in the aisle(we had aisle seats). He had a great time. I actually think a seat further away would've been better. From where we were you could see the zipper to the back of the costumes and DD spotted it and I had to make sure she didn't ruin it for her brother! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for posting about your experience, I'm taking my daughter in a few weeks and am so glad to hear it's a good show!

Thank you so much! We have 2nd row floor, so I imagine we'll see the zippers as well. That's great that the kids got to dance in the aisle. We lucked out and got aisle as well. DD2 loves Daisy, so I'll make sure I don't mention that we are going to see her. Come to think of it, I'll mention Mickey and Minnie...that's it, just in case.

I didn't think Little Einsteins would be real people. Did they "look like" their characters? I just can't imagine Annie as a "person" :rotfl: .

Did the tools talk? DD5 loves Handy Manny, and I'm looking forward to seeing her expression when she sees him.

I'm really excited to see this show. I'll make sure to stop by the ATM on my way :rotfl2: Thanks again!

The tools talked and sang.

As for the Little Einsteins :rotfl2: I'm sorry it just makes me laugh thinking about them. They actually got people that really looked like them! The best was June. Annie was just weird and Leo, well, you'll see.:lmao: It just caught us off guard. They weren't singing or talking live because they had the exact voices of the charaters on the show.

I'm glad my info has helped the 2 of you! Have a great time at the show. FYI, you can take pictures during certain parts of the show, but they say no flash photography.

Oh, as for the things for sale. They had cotton candy bags with Handy Manny construction hard hats in plastic that came with it. They sold the tool box with tools, Handy Manny doll, t shirts for all the different shows, souvenier book, slushies in special cups with the show logo, Mickey binoculars, and so many other cool things. They also had an area where your kid can take a picture with a background that for some reason I can't remember, sorry!

Uh Oh...I need help! We went to the Little Einsteins character lunch at Hollywood and Vine and they were characters there (you know--people inside puppet-like costumes). How do I explain do my dd5 that they are really people in this show. We go next week and she is just at that age where she is starting to pay more attention to these kinds of details.

What should I tell her? Help me!
