Hello,

i'm taking my 11month old and 22 month old to disneyland tomorrow. We have never been to the "playhouse disney" show at DCA. Has anyone ever brought toddlers this age to that show? Did they like it or did they get fussy and have a hard time sitting through it? I don't have any older children so it's not a "must do" for us but if it's something they would really like I would love to take them. Anyone know how long the show is? Both of them liked the Tiki room when they went back in June.

thanks!

I took my daugther when she was about 15 months old...and she LOVED it!! There is a point when bubbles come from the ceiling..and she screamed bubbles and got so excited!! I am the kids will love it! Have fun!!

They should really enjoy it at that age! If they liked the Tiki Room - they should LOVE Playhouse Disney! And if they do cry - nobody will care because the room will be full of kids that age!! ;)
I actually found the hardest part at that age was the waiting in line. But they do have TV's to try to entertain the kids.
Have fun!

What do you guys think is the top age limit that would enjoy the show? I have a 4,almost 7, 6 and 13 year old. I am sure the 13 year old won't want to see it but do you think the others would?

Do they ever watch any of the Playhouse Disney shows on the Disney Channel? If they are even slightly entertained with the tv shows then they might enjoy the Show at DCA because it is live. I have certainly seen kids that age there before - maybe not willingly though. ;)
I would say give them a choice - if that is a possibility.

Can you walk right in at the posted times or is there quite a line-up??? Tks...hope I am not hijacking the thread

DD is 21 months old and she loved it..but she is familiar with the shows so I'm sure that helped.

My son loved it (21 months) He loves all of the shows though. We lined up about 15 minutes before and got up really close the only bad thing is that the mother in front of us let her son stand up the whole time so my son did have a little bit of a hard time seeing the show, but other then that he loved it!

We went to it a couple weeks ago. DS is 23 months, dd 11 and dd 10. We all (including dh) thought it was pretty cute and entertaining. I didnt seem like it was that long either, 20-30 minutes maybe?

I was hoping that nobody in front of us would stand up and luckily they didnt.

We lined up about 15 minutes before and got in fairly quickly with a pretty good seat.

In the end, I was glad we did it. Even though at first I wasnt sure about it and almost skipped out.

My 13 month old loves this show! He only watches two of the shows (mickey mouse clubhouse and little einsteins), but he was very entertained by the whole show due to the high energy environment with lots of singing and dancing, not to mention bubbles and confetti streamers. We literally walked in less than 5 minutes before the show with no problem when we went. It was the second show of the day and we were on our way to the disney visa meet and greet and since they were about to start we popped in then rather than waiting for the later show that we had planned to hit originally.

we saw the show on saturday 10/11...with dd2 and dd8months. dd2 LOVED it! dancing and singing along. we caught the 2:15pm show...went to go stand in line at 2pm, and there was already a LONG line. i was afraid we weren't going to get it, but we did. i totally recommend seeing it. it is a 20 minute show. we're definitely going to go see it again in december (maybe even twice)!

Thank you everyone for your opinions!

we went yesterday, the parks were very slow till about 5pm. The babies loved playhouse disney, not only was it appropriate for their age but it seemed very geared for their age group as well. We went to the 3:15 showing and were one of the last groups in line, we lined up about 3:00 or so. The room was only 1/2 full. It was nice cause I didn't realize you had to sit on the floor unless you took a seat on the side lines. I've always had a hard time sitting on the floor since I was a little kid cause my feet and legs fall asleep bad so I was a little nervous. But because we were in the last row and the the place was so empty I was able to spread out. I might have looked a little silly but oh well. Both my 11 month old and 22 month old loved it.
MY 22 month old is familiar with Pooh and Tigger but that's about it. It didn't matter she danced along and had a blast. My 11 month old clapped through the whole thing. The crowd was all parents with infants through about 4 years old all the children tend to stand the whole time, but for us even being in the back, it didn't seem to be a problem my kids are so small they just enjoyed the singing and dancing atmoshpere. When my DD couldn't see she just moved around.

After we left we walked around a little and a CM came up to us to reccomend us taking our little one's to see playhouse disney. It was really nice of her and we told her we just came back from it!

Thanks again for the comments.
