Playgrounds?

We are staying at POP in 2 weeks. I know we can't pool hop (and I DON"T want to), but I was wondering can my DD3 play at the playgrounds at other hotels? We are planning to tour other hotels and thought to keep DD entertained she might like this.

I have a feeling this may turn into an ugly thread in a few hours. Once everyone starts waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Technically you are not supposed to use any amenities that you are not paying for at a resort that you are not paying for. However you will have no problem letting your daughter play on the playgrounds. They are almost never crowded and Disney does not bother to check or really care if you are a resort guest. I say go for and have a good time.

Just curious, where are you saying? My personal favorite resort playground is at CSR. Although I have always been far too old to use it, it is the best themed.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have never seen many people at any of the playgrounds we have been to. No one is going to take issue with this, I don't think. It's not the same thing as pool-hopping. I really think that having kids unwind a bit at the various playgrounds is a good thing. I believe many people would actually thank-you for letting your child blow off steam in an appropriate place, rather than at a park, in a long line!!!! Have a wonderful, magical trip!!!

What you could do is go over to Fort Wilderness to the petting farm, pony rides (fee), and in the evening they have a camp fire and movie for all resort guest. I believe that Chip and Dale are ususally there. The movie schedule is usually posted under the camping discussion.

Technically, no. I agree that going to Fort Wilderness would be a fun option for you and your children.

My kids have enjoyed the playground at Norway in Epcot.

There is always the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground, is that still open? I always called it the Honey, I Lost the Kids playground! Not a favorite of mine.

Yes, I hadn't of that playground, but that would be a good option if you had AP or park hopper passes.

The OP wants to tour the other resorts NOT to go to the park. She wants to know if her daughter can play in the playground at the resorts.

I have done plenty of resort hopping... and the playground is always empty. Even at the resort we stay at, it is always empty. I think this playground hopping is totally different from pool hopping. I say, if the playground is empty, then go for it. If it's getting full, then I would just leave. I don't think it is hurting guests who are staying at that resort for anyone who is not staying at that resort to use the playground for what... 5-10 minutes?? The resort guests are swimming...eating... sleeping... out in the park.. out and about...

We've visited all hotels (except POP) and typically the playgrounds are empty. I dont' think it would be a big deal. We've never been asked if we are staying at the resort when my DS was on the playground. Typically he was the only one there but in a few instances there were a couple other kids. And, you probably aren't planning on making an afternoon of it at just one playground so I would go ahead. Like Fantasia said, if it does get crowded you can always make a quiet exit. No one will probably notice. Pool hopping, to me, is totally different than this ..... Have fun!
