I realize that there are a lot of small towns that dot I-75 in Georgia. But do most of them have public playgrounds that would be open in late January?
Driving down to WDW in a couple of weeks, we would like to stop, have a picnic lunch and allow our granddaughter to swing on the swing set or slide down the slides a few times...enough for her to exert some energy.
I'm not talking about the rest areas along I-75 (unless they have playground equipment). I'm also not talking about the playlands in McDonald's or other fast food restaurants. I realize we'll be going off the expressway for a couple of miles to hit the small town.
I'm thinking, with our schedule, we'd probably stop for lunch somewhere around Macon. It's not an excessive drive...since we're traveling with my in-laws, we're only going from Knoxville to Valdosta that day (allow us only about 4 hours to hit Disney the following day). But I still don't want my granddaughter cooped up in the car all day.
As always, many thanks.
