My DSis is going to get my DGS a play lawnmower for his first birthday. He's already able to walk a few steps on his own and uses other walk-behind toys really well. Which is a good toy lawnmower? I want a sturdy one that can be used easily on grass - I've read a few reviews about some of them that can't be pushed easily on grass. Which one is good for that? Plus, there are no sidewalks where he lives so it will have to be used on grass.

DS loved the Playskool Big Mike one when he was little - it was orange and said "power up" when you turned it on.

The one we didn't like was supposed to blow bubbles, but never quite worked very well.

my sis in laws gave my son the fisher price one. it's cute, plays music and has the lawn mower sound.

it's cute, but he likes to push it when there's something i realllllly wanna see on tv. LOL i can't wait to bring it to disney (we're in a rented house) for him to push it while with them. *evil grin*

my son is 20 months old and LOVES it!

Our kids LOVED their play lawn mowers. We had a bubble mower-Playschool maybe. It wasn't all that "sturdy" and the kids never had an issue getting it to move on the grass. If it got stuck they figured out pretty quickly to pick it up and move it. It was pretty light weight.

we have one and it is top heavy and falls backwards alot.. not really good for a new walker.. we also never got the bubbles to work right.. it had to be on a level surface and with the OP saying its going to be used mostly in grass.. probably not the best choice..

Our's was a version of this one-from 18 years ago :lmao:. It wasn't a good walker by any means but it wasn't really designed for that either. The bubble thing worked for a day or two but that wasn't really the attraction of the mower for our kids so it wasn't a big deal. We ended up buying a second one when the twins came along because they each wanted to play with one.

I have 2 of them.. we got them when the girls were small... they still have races with them and Ant.. sometimes I wish they really worked.. it wouldn't take long having them all run around with lawn mowers to do it :rotfl:
