Has anyone actually been on the top of the line all-inclusive Disney vacation? There isn't too much info out there on people who actually have been on it. I've seen only one real report but is there only one person that has been on it? It doesn't really seem to be that outragous in price especially considering where you'll be, all the extras that are included, and the fact that you could pay just as much at an all inclusive carribean resort and not get to see TIGGER! Thanks

Although we have never used the Platinum plan, we are using the Premium plan next month. Overall, the Premium plan is a better value than the Platinum if you can live without a few things including a personal itinerary planner and dinner at Victoria and Albert's. I think you will find that so far, most of the people here are doing or have done the Premium plan and not the Platinum. However, the Platinum plan was called the Gold plan up until Dec. 2004 so if you search by that you might get more hits. :)

I just reserved the Platinum Plan for our Anniversary Trip December 1-4. December 1st will be 20 years together. We started dating December 1, 1986. We were high school sweethearts and dated through college. We got married December 10, 1994. I've either been pregnant or nursing for the past 10 years and we didn't get to do anything big for our 10th Anniversary. I have 4 girls with the oldest one turning 11 this November. So, finally, a big Anniversary trip. We have been to Disney 14 times with several trips without the kids, but nothing like what the Platinum Plan will deliver. I wanted to do some tours that were not on the Premium Plan. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Concierge. I am wondering if the Sunrise and Sunset Safari is included or do we pay extra for that? I guess I have a lot of questions for some lucky concierge staff member who gets my call tomorrow! LOL!

I don't know if mine was the trip report you read, but I did the Plat. Plan in Nov. of '04 for 3 nights. I can post the link if you want. The Platinum Plan used to be called the Grand Plan, then Platinum. There aren't too many differences between Premium and Platinum but there are some - I've done both Gold (old name for Premium) and Platinum. I also had a very difficult time finding information. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer. :) I don't know if Sunrise and Sunset Safari are included. In '04 they weren't, but that could've changed.

It is definitely very nice to just show your key and *poof* everything is magically taken care of. Now I have my trusty AP and DDE card and travel with my mom who is a little eater so there's no way we could tackle the Platinum Plan, but it certainly was heavenly for the 3 nights I tried it :goodvibes
