If you're staying at RPR, can you use the $100 credit at PBH and vice versa, if you use your room key to charge it? Is it a voucher, or does it just come off your bill?

We don't really care for the restaurants at RPR (other than Tchoup Chop, which I know the credit is not good for). We'll be drinking and eating our $100 at the Bula Bar if we can't use it at PBH.

Also, is the $100 credit good at Mama Della's?

Thanks

Don't know....but, would love to find out :teeth:

I talked to a Loews Supervisor, as we had the EXACT questions you have! We are also staying at RPR and wondered about Portofino dining. She sent me an email that stated ANY restaurant/pool bar included , but ONLY ONSITE property you are STAYING at. So.... we will do just as you said.... DRINK, DRINK AND DRINK SOME MORE:drinking1  at the Bula Bar... okay.... (maybe we'll even eat a bite there too! ;) all ON THE HOUSE!!! :thumbsup2

But not Tchoup Chop, right?

Thanks very much. It's easy to spend $100 at the Bula Bar. :)

Grr ... When did this start? We just stayed at RPR a few weeks ago and we have the "old" Loews First Platinum card. I asked about the disappearance of the Priority Check In Line, since the regular line was so long and they said they no longer offer that since the change to You First, but there was no mention of a $100 credit.

They also said that my points/status would transfer to the new program. Should I expect a new card? Is the $100 credit a permanent benefit? That would be great for drinks and snacks by the pool, especially during the Dive In Movie!

Thanks in advance for any information!

If you stayed a few weeks ago with a qualifying rate and they knew you were platinum, you should have had the $100 credit. That means that any food/drink charged to your room up to $100 is not charged to you.

and....they don't issue new cards. The only way to 'know' your status, is to call Loews and ask them.

they have it on the loews you first site that the $100 food/beverage credit is valid at pbh or rph during your stay as a platinum member.

they do list the exception restuarants which have already been mentioned here.

nothing wrong in using up the credits at the bar.....:thumbsup2

I called Loews just to make sure about the credit for platinum
members and was told that you have to let them know where
you want the credit, either in food and drink, golf or spa at the
time of check in. The lady that took my reservation told me
that I had to call Loews to get the credit, which is why I called
them to check on it. He (Loews) also said that the welcome gift
is up to the GM of the hotel if any would be available. I did notice
that on the Loews site there no longer any choices of welcome gifts.

That's not what I was told when we stayed at a Loews this weekend. It's valid at participating restaurants, greens fee or spa....they just take it off your bill....they didn't require me to tell them where I'd be spending it.:confused3

no priority check in anymore:confused3 , nutz...i really liked that perc:confused:

Some of those reservation people still don't know what is going on. Mine tried to tell me yesterday that Supersaver and AAA rates didn't count towards You First. I told her to speak to her supervisor and sure enough, they did. I swear we know more than they do.

They don't have a YF special check-in line at PBH...wouldn't have mattered to you anyhow....come to think of it, isn't RPR the only hotel who used to have it?

I would agree ::yes::

hmm...only @ HRH once & no line to speak of (can't say that i noticed?)...RPR's regular line was really long both times early (10:30 -11 am ish?)

we've stayed at all 3...only recall RPR having LF separate check-in line :confused3
