Has anyone seen those plastic converter sets for post bound albums? They are supposedly replacements for the metal posts and screws that make it easier to add new pages. I saw them on the PBS scrapbooking show, I think. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had bought them and where. I went to Mike's today and couldn't find them. They are made by Pioneer so I thought they would be with the Pioneer replacement pages but they weren't.

Thanks for any advice!

Michaels does carry them. Try looking for them by the gel pens and loose markers in the scrapbook area. I believe they are $4.99. I bought a set but haven't try them yet.

Our Mike's does not have them, but I did find them at Hobby Lobby and at Office Depot (although they have clearanced all scrap supplies, for some reason they got these in the week before they did away with the scrap section. ~weird). You can also get them on QVC. The deal there is much better. You get several sets for under $20. They also do not work for all albums, some albums will not let the spine piece close back over b/c they are too bulky. The main one i am having issues with is a Sandylion mickey album. Neat concept, but still has some bugs, IMHO.

Ok, I will check my Michael's (in the pen section, how weird) and QVC. I am hoping they will work on my 2005 Disney album, but I'll be happy if they work on my family album. Thanks!

They are made by pioneer, maker of inexpensive albums, and from what the rep told me at CHA they are going to be on all their albums in the future. I found the converter kit on clearance Office Depot for $.50 and decided it was worth a try. So far i am pretty happy with them. They are a little more difficult to install than the instructions indicate, but not really hard.

I found them at my LSS; and everything is 30% off today! I'll give a status report when I put it in the album. Thanks!

I bought them at Kohl's for 3.59 each. I only bought one to start with, but I loved it so I have bought them for all of my albums and I have not had any problems using them! My albums are really bulky and I don't scrap in order so it was very hard to add in pages, now I don't mind adding in!

Oh this sounds like something I need! My album is getting bulky and I need to add more pages and am just dreading it! Thanks for posting!

After losing one behind the couch (grrr) hubby found it and I got it all attached. The only problem I encountered was when I pulled off the backing, the sticky part came off too! So I had to separate it from the backing and stick it back on the plastic piece. Once I did that, it worked fine. I even opened and closed it to add more pages and it was super easy. I am jealous of you guys who got it cheap though; it was 30% off $6.00 at my LSS and I thought I was getting a deal! I'll have to look into that QVC deal to get the rest of them.

Thanks again!
