Going to go to universal / island of adventure in March. Trying to plan best way to do it.
1. Stay at WDW whole time and do a VIP tour (not private)
2. Stay 1 or 2 nights at Universal
3. Something I'm not thinking about

I have 2 13 year old daughters, one who is very into Harry Potter. We have not been to Universal since my girls were 5.

I would go VIP route only if private tour. Otherwise I would stay at Universal at one of the three hotels that gives unlimited express pass.

We did a non private VIP tour one time and I was so frustrated with it I vowed never again, (it could have been the fault of the other family we were with) but I did find out the value of the express pass on that tour and have not looked back.

Hi I agree with staying onsite for 1 or 2 nights at one of the deluxe resorts with express pass. March can be busy with Mardi Gras and spring break. You will enjoy yourself so much more with the express pass.

I would like to add I did do the VIP non-private tour two years ago and had a great experience. It was expensive but I am glad that I did it once.

Unless you are using Magic Express to and from the airport I would put staying at Universal at the end of the trip. It is so much more relaxing then Disney.

Enjoy!!!
