We're going to spend 3 days at WDW in December, with our first day on Sunday, Dec. 10th. My husband will be taking the "Around the World at Epcot" segway tour on the morning of that first day. He's got a reservation for the 8:30 tour, so we'll have to be at Epcot by 8:15. We're taking our family car, so will all arrive together-- arriving separately is not an option. This means that during my husband's 2-hour segway tour I will be with our two boys -- ages 6 and 2. I'm trying to decide whether to just stay at Epcot with the boys-- camp out at the entrance and wait for the opening, perhaps have a "picnic" breakfast of some sort ( ) and then maybe head to character connection with them. OR maybe we would part ways with my husband at Epcot, the boys and I could take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, be there for the opening, spend a bit of time on their favorite rides (Buzz Lightyear) and other things that the 2 year-old can do, and then return to Epcot to meet up with my husband. (We have the hopping option, so that's not a problem). My reservations about staying at Epcot have to do with how much (or little) there would be for the 2 year old... My 6 year old is jazzed about riding Soarin' and Test Track, but obviously we couldn't do those with the 2 year old in tow and will need to wait for a time when we've got 2 adults so someone can go with each kid. So what would you do?

(BTW, thanks for all of the great feedback I've received so far! I just stumbled on this board a few weeks ago and have received some terrific advice and ideas from my first few posts already! :cool1: )

I think it would be more fun to be at MK :goodvibes , but there is one thing I am not sure of and that is when the monorail starts running at Epcot. I would check on that - maybe if it is not he can drop you off at the TTC and then continue on to Epcot. After a couple of early hours at MK (when the crowds are lighter) then you can hop on the monorail to Epcot.
JMHO - keeping a two year old entertained outside an entrance would be somewhat challenging :teeth: ...and a picnic wouldn't take that long.
Although hauling them out of MK after only a couple hours might be difficult as well!
