Planning visit

I just got news that I can go down for a planning visit in November! My mom got an invitation to a conference so the hospital will pay for the room! I just have to find a decent fair for a flight! If you know of any good ways to get from Michigan area (chicago, detroit, flint, south bend,) please let me know!

How much is decent? We looove Southwest.. and they have a program called Ding! If you have windows, you download it and it sits in your tray (by your clock) a few times a week you get Ding'd!

You might not be able to book a ding! flight till a month out.. but what you can do is book your flight.. say it is $99 each way. Then you get a ding! say it is $59 each way, so you cancel your flight and get a credit, you take your credit and apply it to the ding! fare.

Chicago to Orlando is regularly $99 each way
Detroit to Orlando is regularly $159 each way
so if you can get a Ding! fare.. you could save $50-100 each way!

checkout the Transportation board for more info about finding cheap fares.. know what is a regular/average fare so you can recognize a good deal.
