Your plan sounds good...if you don't all want to wait in line for the WOC FP, one of you could wait with all of your tickets (I think this is true, someone correct me if I'm wrong) and two of you could go to Bug's Land and ride some rides (which will be appealing to your son, but probably not much to the adults). It would help to pass the time.

That might be tricky for the WOC Fastpasses. I don't know how that works if you don't have a ticket initialized at DCA. If you want to see WOC and the FP thing doesn't work, you could get the picnic for the second showing.

Yes, it might, although we are going to be able to meet him first thing after rope drop. So we should have entrance to DCA when they open at 10. Should be fine, but it'll be good to have a back up plan with the picnics. Great suggestion. Thanks again!!

you might want to make 2 plans - one that does not include WOC- you are basing your early day plan around getting those FP's and I am leaning towards the side that all of that is not going to work...

if the friend gets you into DCA - that is going to be on some guest pass- or favor or something- you cannot get FP's with that! and if your son's ticket is only for DL - that won't work either....

you need 3 tickets that have gone through the DCA turnstiles to get FP's with them....

OH PLM thanks SO much for pointing this out!!! I'd never have thought of it.
So I just messaged our contact to find out what kind of entrance he's going to be able to get us to DCA and if fastpasses are a part of it. If not we will probably forego the deal and just upgrade our GAD and buy hopper for DS.

you all have to be in the same park for one of you to get FP's with the others tickets....they cannot go over to DL while you are in DCA with their tickets...

This is not true, exactly.

You do NOT all have to be in the same park for one person to get FPs with everyone's tickets.

Everyone must enter either DL or DCA with their own ticket media. Once inside the park, one member of the family can take all the tickets and get FPs at the other Park, using their own ticket - and hand-stamp - for entrance and all tickets for FPs. This person then goes back to the 1st park (using their own ticket and hand-stamp for entrance) and re-joins the group.

While the "runner" has everyone's tickets, s/he is the only one that can go in an entrance gate.

wellllllllllll, this is the mystery at this point.

DH and I have GAD vouchers. We will be buying DS DLR ticket.

THEN, when we are in DLR we will be meeting friends old DLR boss to get entrance to DCA. Not sure what that consists of but messaging to find out. But, the idea is that we will get entrance to both.

If your friend's old boss is using his CM privileges to sign you in to the Park, that will give you free Parkhoppers for the entire day. There is no reason to use your GAD vouchers for admission or buy your DS a ticket.

Dreams, so this is really helpful. So you are saying that DH and DS could stay at DLR while I take all of our tickets to DCA and get FP for everyone, then exit DCA and join them again at DLR.

If this is the case that will help quite a bit.

Yes they can. If you KNOW you are going to do WoC on a specific date, you can pre-order a picnic on-line and not worry about them selling out.

Many have reported Cast Members have required seeing all members of the family present when getting WoC FPs. (If anyone has more recent, different experience, please correct me.)

Getting FPs for rides, one person can get them for everyone in the group (if you have all the tickets).

YAY! GREAT news to report for those that care ...
our friends connection is getting us a regular tickets to DCA that we will be able to hop with and use for FP's!!!

wooooohooooooo, so now it's a matter of rushing to Grizzly River Run!. FINGERS CROSSED.... guess we can always implement Picnic Plan B
