Where in the world do I start. We are planning a trip in Sept 2004 to run in with a softball tournament for my husband. I know we'll be at MK and I want to stay at the new value resort. From there I'm clueless about character dinners or thing that my two kids will enjoy ages will be 6 and 1. Does Disney send any information out to help me know what they offer?
Thanks for anyone's help
I'm clueless and overwhelmed.

with the exception of air flights, anything else you book ahead of time, you can change or cxl within 5 days of travelling with no penalties. My advice is to book your room and and transportation now, and then watch for specials. I'm ppretty sure the Value resorts at WDW are at Value season in September(around $77/night) We just booked our room through Dreams Unlimited with our AAA discount for the cheapest rate so far, and they are also going to help us with our planning. They ask you the ages and interests of everyone in your party, and go from there. I think it's a great service for people who are just overwhelmed with everything. Hope this helps!!

It can definitely be a lot of planning, but once you are there you will be glad that you did it. What I try to do is figure out which parks we would like to go to before we leave the house. this way everyone knows where we are headed and not everyone is voting for different parks on the same day. I also take into consideration early entry days - or how late they stay open. Also, wdwig.com lets you know historically what days are better to visit what parks. After I have figure this out, I plan breakfast and dinner around this. It seems like a lot but I have been before and everyone is arguing about where they want to go and what to see and where to eat and no thanks. This way I ask everyone what is their favorite place before we go and incorporate it into that. Mousesavers.com is a really good place to look for discounts. I hope that this helps. Planning is half of the fun.

I am starting to get more excited about planning. Luckily my kids are young 6 and 1 so they go pretty much where we say!;) I am going to plan most of our trip on things they will like. Thanks for your help

Let me see if I can push you in the right direction. The site for Dreams unlimited is www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com Once there it gives you all kinds of wonderful info and you can request a quote to get some pricing ideas. Request Cathy Miller on your ressie. You do that in the spot where you list the names of everyone travelling with you in your party.

VisitMARY'S SITE to get an idea on codes that will save you tons of money off of rack (regular) rates.

Visit DEB'S SITE to get a look at some menus so you can get an idea on what you'll be spending on dining. It was a HUGE help for hubby and I on our last trip in 2001.

Those are some good places to start. I hope I've helped.
