I wasn't really sure where to post this so Mods- feel free to move this if not in the right area. We are taking a trip to Florida this August to celebrate my Grampie's 100th birthday 
He lives in the Pinellas Park area. Although at first this seemed like a great excuse to do my favorite Orlando theme parks- we are now thinking that we are just going to stay in the Pinellas Park area- visit family, and go to Busch Gardens (haven't been there in over 20 years) and Lowry Zoo (never been there)....
Looking for some advice to plan this trip. We don't really know anything outside of Orlando!! Looking for some good budget-friendly hotels to stay in (prob. in Pinellas Park/ Clearwater area). Also looking for some advice on doing Busch Gardens and Lowry Zoo... plus anything else fun in the area? Good restaurants, etc?
It will be me, my b/f, and our 6 year old son- we are looking to have fun but not spend TOO much money since we will be getting married next June
and doing a DCl cruise!
